Hey guys, Jana here,

The official plan to release the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘ trailer this coming Monday, but some dude with a camera phone spoiled those plans and put their shaky, grainy version with Portuguese subtitles out into the interwebs.  Zack Snyder reacted by giving the fans what we want, a peek at the trailer.

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 17th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

34_JesseCuster

It’s been a long time coming. That’s not an understatement either. I’m talking years and years in the making for this epic ‘Preacher‘ series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. Formally a DC Vertigo comic book from 1996-2000, several networks and production companies have tried to get this off the ground either into a movie adaptation or a tv series.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Marvel and Disney have the goose that lays golden eggs with their collaborations on comic movies, no one can deny the success of ‘The Avengers‘ or ‘Captain America‘, not to mention ‘Iron Man‘ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘. So it was a safe gamble to move forward with the lesser known ‘Ant-Man‘, and the fan excitement for the film shows it was a good choice.

Hey guys, Jana here,

batman-v-superman-jesse-eisenberg-lex-luthor

Director Zack Snyder must have one hell of a poker face, at least it would appear so considering how close to the chest he’s holding his cards dealing with ‘Batman V Superman‘. Any news or photos from the project have been deftly released under Snyder’s instructions.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

avengers-3-infinity-wars

Marvel Studios has give us their epic slate of films for the foreseeable future. In that slate includes, ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘, which was a series of six comics that came out in 1992 and was a sequel to the comic series ‘Infinity Guantlet‘, which basically had the entire Marvel Universe, trying to stop the evil Thanos. Well, Marvel has now hired the director, or shall I saw directors for that project.

Hey guys, Jana here,

jack-huston__140501123847

In the land of remakes, there is one bright spot that hasn’t been touched, yet. Yet is the key word in that sentence. The iconic film ‘The Crow‘, Brandon Lee cemented his popularity with his portrayal of Eric Draven, the tragic hero of a dark film that, at it’s heart, is a vigilante tale. Director Corin Hardy (‘The Hallow‘) is planning to remake the film, which has a loyal cult following, and he has already cast his Eric.

‘Batman’ Season 2, Part 2 Available on DVD!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Mar 23rd, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

BatmanS2V2

The 1960’s brought us a lot of iconic images. It was the summer of love, The Beatles, free love, peace, JFK and the birth of Paul Newman! Looking at TV of the time one show stands out, why it’s the ‘Batman‘ series, of course! A fantastic take on the popular comic was embodied for the first time on screen. Adam West (Batman) and Burt Ward (Robin) threw “Pow!” and “Zap!” into daily verbiage that I, at least, still use today.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

preacher__140206194142

We’ve been talking about the ‘Preacher‘ series that is coming to AMC from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for quite some time. Well it looks like they have cast one a fan favorite character for the show, which is Arseface or as his real name reads, Eugene Root. Root got the name Arseface for trying to kill himself with a shotgun to the face, hence the name. However, he is the nicest kid anyone will ever meet, but he has a dark secret that he’s keeping.

by Red Zeppelbon on Mar 16th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

PicMonkey Collage

This weekend held a pretty great event, no I’m not talking about the most epic Pi day to end all Pi days, but the Kansas City Planet Comicon!!! Celebrities, creators and throngs of fans made the trip to KC to revel in the glory that is and will always be a celebration of all things pop culture and all things très geek. Celebrity guests consisted of Cary Elwes (‘The Princess Bride‘), Michael Rooker (‘The Walking Dead‘), Karen Gillan (‘Doctor Who‘), Stephen Amell (‘Arrow‘) and Scott Wilson (‘The Walking Dead‘) among many others and was a serious draw for fans. Not everyone goes to a con just to see celebs, others view it as a networking event, a place to share their craft or just as a reason to go all out with the cosplay and know they will be among others doing the same. Whatever the reason, fans congregated en masse at Bartle Hall for the weekend.

For every failing ‘Battleship‘ board game that is adapted into a feature, there is a successful ‘Clue‘ in the mix, as well. Adaptations are always a tricky thing but on occasion they can work. Lionsgate is hoping to find success with their latest acquisition, the tabletop game and graphic novel ‘Dust‘.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

avengers-age-of-ultron-collage

Here is a brand new trailer for one of the biggest films of 2015, which is ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’. Marvel had the brilliant idea to showcase this trailer by asking for a number of re-tweets on Twitter to unlock the trailer. It’s a genius marketing move to get everyone excited and involved. They used the hashtag  . And it went over very well, only taking an hour or two to achieve the goal. Ultron lays out his plans for decimating Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the latest trailer for Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” in theaters May 1!

The film world of comic book heroes is much like the Earth we are used to, gossip runs towns and friendships/alliances can be destroyed in moments with loose lips. The character drawing so much speculation today is Spider-Man. In particular, his film roles, when they release and who will be writing and directing the project.
