There was footage back at San Diego Comic Con that leaked, but was quickly taken down by the studios, and then yesterday, Fox Studios released a trailer for this trailer, which is now a thing. Who knew? But now, all of us Deadpool fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as we know for 100% certainty that we will be getting a feature film with Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool.

Film Review: ‘Ant-Man’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 14th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

ant-man_movie_image_collection

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues this summer of 2015 with ‘Ant-Man‘, which is a lesser known character and storyline than the usual big Avenger characters. This is a film that i’ve looked forward to for a few years now, because the story of ‘Ant-Man‘ and his abilities are very cool. When I had my comic book store, I actually had the first five issues of ‘Ant-Man‘ ever. I really dug those comics. Imagine how excited I was when news broke that director Edgar Wright signed on to write and direct the film.

Hey guys, Jana here,

old_man_logan___inked___turner___egli_by_surftiki_by_confuciusretaliation-d663hul

San Diego Comic-Con is all I’ve been talking about the last week, and with good reason! The epic trailers, the cast surprises, the tidbits of info that have been, previously, safely guarded. This week gives us a fantastic peek into the next year or two of film and gets us stoked for those release dates. One of the most exciting bits of information came from Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman. He gave us three words that sent fans everywhere into a frenzied sort of glee as to what ‘Wolverine 3‘ could entail, myself included, those words were “Old. Man. Logan.” Boom!

Hey guys, Jana here,

mgid-uma-image-mtv

Comic-Con is THE entertainment spot of the universe and if you’re one of the lucky ones in attendance, you are guaranteed to see the latest and greatest the movie world has to offer. For years, we’ve waited for this event to see the newest trailers for the most anticipated films during their respective panel  presentations. This year was no different, and fans were treated to, among others, ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘, ‘Suicide Squad‘, ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ and the hottest trailer from the con, ‘Deadpool‘. I have been scanning the net ever since those panels ended looking for the studios mainstream release of the trailers to bring to you, and they’re curiously absent.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Marvel2

Warner Brothers and DC Comics had the con all to themselves as Marvel skipped this year due to not having enough current projects close enough to completion to show off or warrant a big panel gathering. So the Warner Bros. panel was a standing room only crowd and their anticipation paid off as two big trailers debuted for the fans: ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘ and ‘Suicide Squad‘ played to roaring approval.

by Red Zeppelbon on Jun 18th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

big-daddy-and-hit-girl-1

There could be more ‘Kick-Ass‘ awesome heading our way according to film writer/director Matthew Vaughn. Of course I’m talking about the comic creation by Mark Millar that consists of average teenager turned vigilante superhero-wannabe Dave Lizewski who later becomes Kick-Ass and teams up with the father/daughter duo of Hit-Girl and Big Daddy.

Season 1 of ‘Gotham’ Coming To DVD and Blu-Ray!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jun 15th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

1000543313BRDLEFO_9392df82

Following the current trend of superhero antics on the big and small screens, Warner Bros. stepped up their game by offering ‘Gotham‘, an intimate look at James Gordon before Batman, covering his rise to power in the Gotham police force. Circle September 8 on your calendar, then get ready to relive a series that is sans the bat, but not without the boy, Bruce Wayne. I was skeptical of the success the series would have by benching the caped crusader who is instantly recalled when most hear the name ‘Gotham‘, but season 1 has proven the city is big enough for all variety of heroes and villains.

Hillary T., Here…

When comic con rolls into town, cosplay is a big part of it. Cosplay is dressing up and getting the chance to be someone else for a bit.  People spend weeks, and even months getting ready and building their costumes. There are even people, like LeAnna Vamp who have made a living cosplaying. LeAnna Vamp is a professional cosplayer who recently attended Fan Expo Dallas, and she is known for her YouTube channel “I Love Nerd Girls” and “Star Wars Girls.” LeAnna brought her special kind of nerd love to Dallas this past weekend and shared with us how she got started in cosplay.
