Some cool news on this Friday morning for you. This almost sounds fake, but this is almost sort of a chance finding of strange events. But 17 minutes of footage was found in a salt mine vault in Kansas of Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi masterpiece, “2001: A Space Odyssey”.

This UK trailer is far far better than the trailer we got here in the USA. I don’t know if it is the numerous “balls” references, the anal probing talk, or Sigourney Weaver calling the alien, “Paul” a little prick, but it works and has come one of the most anticipated films for me for next year. I cannot wait to see this film. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost again team up and star in what looks to be one hell of a funny film. Looking forward to it.

If you have not had the chance to check out the latest vision from extraordinary director, Terrence Malick, then you should take a couple of minutes and watch the trailer. The film stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain. The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950′s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Through Malick’s signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.

I have a link for you to spend a good hour of your life exploring. Yes, it is 3 billion percent worth it. It is a large collection of animation background images from the wonderful hit film, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” Now I know when we all watched this film, we were all amazed at the amazing technology and movie magic it took to make this film to have live action and animation coexist in the same world. It worked and it was beautiful. Now what you may have not noticed due to all the crazy action on screen, are all the hidden characters from various cartoons from the past, and ultra cool little secret gems hidden throughout the movie.
