Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is the first trailer for the sequel to Marvel’sThor‘ titled ‘Thor: The Dark World‘. It seems like Marvel is going for an edgier and darker tone with this one. We’ve heard rumors this was the direction it was going, and after viewing the trailer, I can confirm that things get pretty gritty.  Alan Taylor is directing this 2nd installment and I have complete trust that he will do a fine job judging by his credits.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Marvel had a busy day today at Comic-Con.  Kevin Feige (President of Marvel Film Studios) confirmed today that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ will be released August 1, 2014.  Also, Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) have finished writing ‘Ant-Man’ and have filmed some test footage which they showed the crowd at Comic-Con.  Needless to say the crowd went ape-shit. Wright said, Ant-Man is a tiny guy who kicks ass one inch at a time.

Hi, Bryan Here…..

The books is called ‘Casual Vacancy’ and will cater to adults.  The book has a scheduled release of September 27th, 2012 and I expect hordes and hordes of fans standing in line to get the first book.  Rowling describes the book as  “blackly comic” and for adults.  The book runs about 480 pages and will be available in hardback, audio CD, and ebook formats.  I anticipate a movie studio (Warner Bros.) picking up the rights to this book soon once its done.  Here is Rowling’s synopsis of her new book:

Classic Waxxx: Big Mama Thornton “In Europe”

by NapkinArt on Jul 15th, 2011

The era of the power-house female blues singer is long gone. Bessie Smith. Janis Joplin. Memphis Minnie. Big Maybelle. But, one of the absolute greats here is Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton, whose blues will absolutely shake you to your foundation.

Outside of hardcore blues fans Big Mama Thornton is probably one of the more obscure of the blues singers, as her career began in 1951, but started to fade quickly in the late 1950s/early 1960s. However, Thornton recorded with some of the most notable blues musicians of her day, many now legendary, like Buddy Guy, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Muddy Waters and Big Walter Horton. Hi Bryan Here….

Marvel and Paramount must have tons of faith in Thor, because it has already been given a sequel and release date.  The date is set for July 26th, 2013, and so far Chris Hemsworth will return to play the Mighty Thor.  No word on if any of the other cast will return.  I’m sure they will.  But director Kenneth Branagh will not be back.  Sources say he declined and it went down mutually and amicably.

Hi Bryan Here….

Kenneth Branagh wasn’t the only director on ‘Thor’.  It seems that Joss Whedon directed the “after credits” scene that Marvel Films has come so accustomed to since ‘Iron Man’.  Joss Whedon as you know will be directing the upcoming epic ‘Avengers’ film.

Bryan Journeys Into Mystery With “Thor”!!! (A Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on May 8th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here…

The Almighty Thor is finally here.  Marvel’s next feature film in their line of super-hero films revving up for the huge epic “Avengers” film may surprise you.  Thor is great.  It’s very different from the past Marvel films, but different is very good.  Especially for a hero like Thor.  What makes Thor different from the other Marvel Super-Heroes in films is that Thor is not from Earth nor is he really a human.  He is a GOD.  And when I think of Thor my brain usually goes to the Greek Mythology place and to that Shakespearean universe.  So it was only too perfect that Shakespearean vet, Kenneth Branagh would be the director for this epic film of Thor.

Hi Bryan Here….

I just love when stuff like this happens.  It’s so awesome when studios do really cool and fun trailers for their films in unique ways.  For this Thor trailer tv spot, they pretty much re-did shot for shot of that hit funny as hell VW commerical with the little kid as Darth Vader.  But replace Darth Vader with Thor.  The results are great.

New Thor Clip Has Me Worried!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 1st, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

Marvel has unveiled a short Thor clip for our enjoyment.  I am very excited about this movie, but from this small clip, is it me…or does it seem like this clip is cheesy and terrible humor?  I hope I’m wrong and I hope the rest of the movie is not this way.
