Tom N., here…

Corpus Christi, Texas. Latin for the Body of Christ. What a weird place for the first sighting of The Demon King on WWE TV. And yet, there he was. Ancient script was scrawled over his ribs, abs and legs, all leading to a gaping maw in the center of his chest, tongue lashing about, waiting to devour any and all of his opponents whole. The Body of Christ, indeed.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hey guys, Jana here,

Looks like things in the WWE Universe are being changed up everywhere. From wrestlers being released, to wrestlers ASKING to be released, and now they’re changing up where we go to find our weekly man-on-man action fix. For as long as I can remember, ‘WWE Monday Night Raw‘ has been on USA and ‘WWE Smackdown‘ could be found on various channels since it’s inception with the last home being Syfy. July 19 will see the ‘Smack Down‘ brand move to another home and night.

WWE Payback 2016: What to Expect!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 30th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

payback-2016-poster-2

It’s that time of year again for the PPV after Wrestlemania, which is known as Payback. Normally, this is a rather lackluster PPV when compared to the rest of the WWE events throughout the year, and this particular one seems no different, despite a couple of matches. I do expect some good moments, but I don’t expect a ton of titles to change hands here, if any really. Not only that, but we still have a ton of WWE Superstars out, including John Cena, Seth Rollins, Neville, and Randy Orton. You can add to that list Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Triple H not showing up, as well as The New Day not having a match either, however the latter will most likely do some promos. In other words, this just doesn’t seem like an exciting PPV at the moment. I hope I’m wrong. Maybe, just maybe Shinsuke Nakamura will show up and wrestle for two hours. Then again, maybe they’ll bring back ‘Firefly‘. Side note: why is Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt family on the poster for Payback, but they don’t have a match?

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

shane-jump

As I’m recovering from seven insane days of ‘Wrestlemania 32‘ in Dallas, TX., I’ve had time to reflect, contemplate, saturate, and regurgitate every I event I attended. I had my box of Booty O’s to make sure I wasn’t Booty thru the weekend, met some good people, watched some amazing matches, talked with some WWE Superstars, and lost my voice when Shane-O-Mac put his life on the line for the WWE Business. To quote a certain former WWE announcer, it was a slobberknocker of a week for sure that hit me in the solar plexus more times than I’d like to admit. WWE really did it up big this year for Wrestlemania 32. Not only did they put on several good shows, but they also broke records. There was over 101,000 people in attendance at AT&T Stadium for Wrestlemania 32, beating the previous record from Wrestlemania 3 by quite a bit. Not only that, ticket sales and merch sales were way up as well from previous years. It seems like WWE is growing exponentially with more and more fans tuning in every week. That’s a good thing. Instead of writing a recap of the entire weekend, I’ll give you some details of some of the cooler things I witnessed over the past week.

WWE: Possible Scenarios at the 2016 ‘Royal Rumble’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 24th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

maxresdefault

THE ROYAL RUMBLE ITSELF

One of the WWE’s most electrifying events is the ‘Royal Rumble’. Since the 1980s, WWE has been using the Royal Rumble match and PPV as the pre-cursor to Wrestlemania. In this match, anything is possible, as 30 wrestling superstars enter the ring in 90 second intervals. The only way to win the match is to throw the other 29 opponents over the top rope of the ring and be the last man standing. Over the years, there has been many surprises. Vintage wrestling superstars have entered the contest as well as underdogs. Sure, being the first entrant is the most difficult and being the 30th entrant is the easiest, as time is on your side, but that doesn’t stop you from winning usually.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

wwe-tlc

TLC. Tender, loving, Care. That’s not the case when we’re talking about WWE by any stretch of the means. TLC in the WWE universe means Tables, ladders, chairs, all of which are used to take down each other in the ring. Some of the most memorable matches in WWE history have been TLC matches with WWE superstars sacrificing life and limb, falling 50 feet in the air into the hard concrete or a folding table, only to be hit by a steel chair or a steel ladder. TLC matches basically mean that there are no rules. All is “legal”, even the kitchen sink, title belt, and even a trombone in some cases.

WWE: What will happen on tonight’s ‘WWE Raw’?

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 9th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

20151105_LIGHT_RawPreview_Wyatts_HOMEPAGE_TuneIn

It would be an understatement to say that a lot has happened over the last week in the WWE universe. What was supposed to happen was that the current WWE heavyweight champion Seth Rollins was going to defend the championship belt at the upcoming PPV ‘Survivor Series‘ against his former Shield partner Roman Reigns. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, John Cena, and Randy Orton are out either on vacation or injured, which is a lot of top tier talent for the WWE.

WWE: Hell In A Cell 10/25/2015 Recap!!

by Angelic Heel on Oct 26th, 2015

Angelic Heel once more…

Hell in a Cell is known as the most brutal structure in the WWE. No other match brings with it the sense of foreboding at the mere mention of its name. The WWE Universe waited in anticipation as the Pay Per View that bore the name of the most dreaded match unfolded before them (shown on the WWE Network for the low low monthly rate of $9.99 or free for the first month #BetterThanNetflix) The night saw every Championship defended, as well as honor defended and legends put to rest. The night was filled with ups and downs that kept one guessing and in the end, the WWE delivered as the most demonic structure in sports entertainment lived up to its hype. Did you miss it? Find out what happened now!

Mike, Here…

wwe-hell-in-a-cell-ppv-wallpaper

There is a dark cloud of reality hanging over this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell

It started moving in last month, when Sting faced Seth Rollins in the main event at Night of Champions.

The story was that the Vigilante Sting, WCW’s greatest icon and the last soldier of the Monday Night War, magically appeared to challenge Rollins for the WWE Championship. Admittedly, he had already magically appeared once only to lose to Triple H, so there was slightly less magic than advertised. but Sting seemed to be enjoying himself and Rollins sold the idea of Sting being threatening well enough to make their match-up compelling.

Angelic Heel Returning (I know you all missed me)…

WWE‘s superstars returned to the Texan capital of Austin for the VERY last SMACKDOWN before the highly anticipated Hell In A Cell (which can be seen on the WWE Network for the low low steal of a price of $9.99 or FREE for the first month to NEW subscribers) pay per view this coming Sunday night. Our beloved WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, once again proved that he was the man, Paige attempted to make amends to the Diva’s Champion and her side kick, Becky Lynch, and the New Day put the trauma of Monday Night Raw‘s atrocity to Xavier Woods behind them as the focused on their main event showing. What other surprises were in store for the blue go home show? Find out now!!

WWE: ‘Hell in a Cell 2015’! What to Expect!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 6th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

wwe-hell-in-a-cell-ppv-wallpaper

We are only a few weeks away from ‘Hell in a Cell 2015‘, which will take place in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center. If you recall, we went to ‘Hell in a Cell’ 2014 and wrote about it. Needless to say, we had a great time. WWE has been amping up the storylines and matches on Raw and Smackdown these past couple of weeks and now we have an updated title card for the PPV. This looks like it will be a great event with some solid matches lined up.

WWE: O’ What a Night of Champions 2015!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 20th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

185_NOC_09202015jg_0915-3399209481

Formally called Vengeance, ‘Night of Champions‘ quickly became a popular PPV in the WWE universe ever since it debuted back in 2001 where The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Chris ‘Y2J’ Jericho battled each other over the course of a few matches with Jericho winning in the end, becoming the first Undisputed champion. This year, Night Of Champions took place in Houston, Texas and had some spectacular moments. In fact, one of the matches had me yelling out praises throughout. We will get to that match in a minute. In other segments though, things fell a little short, mostly dealing with Sting, who definitely didn’t deserve to be in the main event with current champ Seth Rollins, and who didn’t deserve to have his image and likeness on all the promo art. Don’t get me wrong, I like Sting. He’s a damn fine wrestler. Or shall I say, he WAS a damn fine wrestler back long ago, but not so much anymore. There is far too much talent in the back locker room to give Sting a shot at the championship. First off, Sting doesn’t show up to almost anything, but a couple time a year, whereas everyone else are having matches day in and day out in the WWE. And it just doesn’t make sense to have a guy like Sting who is barely there, more than twice Seth Rollins’ age, and not involved in any long story line to make this match believable, let alone anyone thing for a second that Sting could win the WWE title belt. But first, let’s start at the beginning.

WWE: Summerslam 2015!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 24th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

screaming_taker.0

One of the biggest pay-per-views of the year is ‘Summerslam‘, only second to ‘WRESTLEMANIA‘. This ‘Summerslam‘ marks the 28th Summerslam event for the WWE Corp, and featured quite the card. There were some excellent matches throughout the night, however, some of them ended unfavorably, but each WWE superstar put on an excellent show last night even if there were some mis-steps.
