WEW Podcast Ep. 5 – The Fallout of ‘Backlash 2016’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 11th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

20160829_blacklash_feedcard-520e4ab1af388818ee249f9d95d67ab3

This is our inaugural episode our new brand of podcast called ‘Wrestling is Everything is Wrestling‘ or WEW for short, which is part of the Boomstick Comics brand on the Multi-Media Men Podcast label. That was a mouth full. Tom Nix and Bryan Kluger, get in the ring and discuss every single match at ‘Backlash 2016‘. It literally broke Tom, where he went into a fit of rage, burned down his house, and passed out. He was part of the #FinalDeletion. Needless to say, it was insanity.  This was such a fun show and we hope you enjoy! All we can say is that ‘The Miz‘ is still the reigning champion of the Intercontinental Belt!

Well, let me back-track on that one second. Mike Purtill was not on this podcast, because he was on assignment, attending The Battle of Los Angeles with Pro-Wrestling Guerrilla. Instead, we had a very special guest join us from Austin, TX, named Tyler Mager, who is not only a big wrestling fan, but works for FloSports, which is a cool company that brings you the sports you wouldn’t necessarily see on television from around the world.  We discuss Kevin Owens becoming the Universal WWE Champion, Triple H’s return, The Miz taking on Dolph Ziggler, and much much more.  This was such a fun show and we hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

laughing_2

A good friend sent me this short film by Diego and Julio Hallivis, who are brothers living in Los Angeles and making films. After a small amount of online research, it looks like these brothers have shot and produced their own short films for the past few years and were both production assistants on ‘Burn Notice‘, which means they worked with Bruce Campbell. Last week, they uploaded their new film called ‘The Laughing Man‘, which is about Harley Quinn and The Joker from the DC Comics Universe.

He’s got range and he’s showing that off with ‘Imperium‘. He takes on a convincing American accent and I can’t wait to see this one! Co-starring Toni Collette and Burn Gorman with Sam Trammell. We’ve only got to wait until August 19.

Hey guys, Jana here,

bill_paxton_daniel_radcliffe_split

Most everyone is familiar with the game ‘Grand Theft Auto‘. It encourages the player to immerse themselves into a fantasy, criminal underworld where jacking cars is a necessity and shooting rival gangsters, cops, or prostitutes is fair game. When you have a game that envelops that kind of violence, it naturally draws opposition. That opposing voice comes from parents being concerned about the content their children are absorbing, it comes from politicians pandering to the voters while touting negative values as a direct result of exposure to GTA. Each of those voices has one thing in common, their desire to ban the game.

She had tons of stories, met tons of filmmakers and actors, and had lots of snacks. Her stories were a lot fun. After the TCA business, we discuss the 2000 film ‘Boondock Saints‘ in a new segment we call “What If”, where we give you some fun trivia about the film and give a scenario of ‘What If’ ‘Boondock Saints’ would have had different actors, a different rating, or a different director. It was a lot of fun.  We had Gadi Elkon from SeligFilmNews , Adam Conway from Angelika Film Center, and Andrew Conway. It was a lot of fun to say the least. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show and see you next week! Thank you for listening.

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 20th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

3632_5

It’s 2015. A new year, and our first Podcast of 2015, which makes this Podcast #51. It’s been an excellent ride so far. For our 51st podcast, we were all sober and bright eyed to discuss Award season, meaning the recent Golden Globe winners and the recently announced Oscar nominations. We dive into each category, discussing snubs, surprises, deserved wins, and much much more. After the awards business, we discuss the 1990 film ‘Tremors‘ in a new segment we call “What If”, where we give you some fun trivia about the film and give a scenario of ‘What If’ ‘Tremors’ would have had different actors, a different rating, or a different director. It was a lot of fun.  We had Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix , Adam Conway from Angelika Film Center, and Andrew Conway. It was a lot of fun to say the least. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 21st, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

image

I can’t believe we have made it to 50 episodes. It’s been an excellent ride so far. For our 50th podcast, we had the entire crew in the studio, which is rare. Since it’s the end of the year and Christmas is almost here, we wanted to give you all our Best and Worst List for 2014. And we’re not talking about films here. We are talking about music, songs, television episodes, interviews, Blu-rays, and more. So we hope this list entices you to see, hear, or purchase whatever film or album you have been hearing about. And it’s quite interesting that a lot of our individual lists were quite different.  We had Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix , Adam Conway from Angelika Film Center, Gadi Elkon from Selig Film News, Gwen Reyes from FreshFictionTV, and Andrew Conway. It was a lot of fun to say the least. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show and see you in 2015! Thank you for listening.

by Red Zeppelbon on Nov 4th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

now-you-see-me-gallery1

Now You See Me‘ was was a 2013 film that featured four magicians answering a mysterious summons that sets the stage for their later roles as The Four Horsemen who manage to pull off a real-time robbery during a stage act. This leads to an investigation by FBI and Interpol agents. I was impressed with the movie, it was a new story with a twist, very original.

Podcast #38 – ReCast of ‘Saved By The Bell’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 30th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

53afe2113cbf47fac7fad8864cd01f55

The Multi-Media Men are back with the 38th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a big house this time around, and this being the middle of summer, we had tons to talk about. Joining me is Adam Conway from the Angelika Film Center, Andrew Conway, Gwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction TV and Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix. It was a lot of fun to say the least. Here is one of our infamous Re-Cast segments. We went ahead  and recast the iconic tv show ‘Saved By The Bell‘, which is one of the most entertaining tv shows of the 90s that starred Mark Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, Dustin Diamond, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Vorhees, and Dennis Haskins. There is no way we can replace any of the amazing actors aboard here, but in this day and age, a remake is more likely to happen than not. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us? Let us know  if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Several weeks ago, we took a couple of days to come up with 64 of the best tv shows from that time-frame, and we put them in a NCAA-style tournament bracket to see what would emerge as the best show of that time. We separated them into two categories, which were comedy series and drama series. Even in this final round, there were some big fights amongst us. Blood was drawn, bones were broken, words were said, dogs and cats started living together – MASS HYSTERIA. After a two week vacation, The Multi-Media Men are back with the 35th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a full house this time around with myself Bryan Kluger, Adam Conway from the Angelika Film Center, Gadi Elkon from Selig Film News, Andrew Conway, Gwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction, and Susan Kamyab from This Chix Flix. It was a lot of fun to say the least. As usual, we start off each episode with some sort of Top 3 list, and this 35th episode is no different. We decided to come up with some movies that Criterion should consider adding to their ever impressive collection. There are some excellent suggestions here along with some ideas for great bonus features. If you are unfamiliar with Criterion, check them out HERE. Basically, they are like the Neiman Marcus of home video. Criterion has the best video and audio transfers in the business and generally has the best bonus features in town. Not to mention that almost all of their films are five-star movies. So here is what we think Criterion should release in the coming year or so. Hello, Jana here,

simpsons-family-couch

Which TV show has been on air for 25 years and has just been sold into syndication for a whopping $750 million? If you answered ‘The Simpsons‘ you were right. The newly announced sister network to FX, FXX is going to begin airing with the animated satire. If you’re starting a new broadcast and want to get viewer attention a series marathon is always a good way to do it. If you want the network to be talked about you plan a 12-day marathon that comprises 552 episodes. The high price-tag for the series will not only give network syndication rights, but a first time availability for on-demand viewing.

9048-rsd_2014_420x250

Record Store Day is almost here and here on our 30th podcast, we let you known some of the coolest releases that will be coming out that day. What is Record Store Day, you ask? The original idea for Record Store Day was conceived by Chris Brown, and was founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehneras a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally. This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, djs spinning records and on and on. Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in San Francisco on April 19, 2008 and Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April. And please let us know, what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Podcast #29 – Movies That Should Be Made Into Musicals!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 17th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here…

shop2_t588

We hope you are enjoying our 29th podcast as much as we are. In the past, we have done a few segments where we give a pitch to a wealthy billionaire (fake, of course) of a topic we want to see greenlit. We have pitched our own music festivals, film festivals, and TV networks, as we discussed all the cool things that we wanted to create and give the world. So along those same lines, we came up with Films that we want to see made into musicals for the Broadway stage. And the more ridiculous the better. My example to my fellow podcasters was ‘SE7EN: The Musical‘!! It only got better from there! And please let us know, what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Hi, Bryan Here…

logotyo

We now have the SECOND round elimination for our new Bracket, which is the Best TV Shows from the 1990s through present day. A few weeks ago, we took a couple of days to come up with 64 of the best tv shows from that time-frame, and we put them in a NCAA-style tournament bracket to see what would emerge as the best show of that time. We separated them into two categories, which were comedy series and drama series. Even in this SECOND round, there were some big fights amongst us. Blood was drawn, bones were broken, words were said, dogs and cats started living together – MASS HYSTERIA. You can click the link below to see the bracket in its entirety and print it out and play along.  This was a lot of fun. We will be posting some images of our bracket picks for you to see in full on our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher and subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.
