Is ‘Boondock Saints 3’ Actually Happening?!?!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jul 28th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

BDDefinitionBoondockSaints-2-1080

I’m not in the business of spreading rumors, but I can almost call this one a fact. Looks like the die-hard fans of Troy Duffy’sBoondock Saints‘ from 1999 is getting it’s third installment!!! The best part about this one for me is that we don’t have to wait 10 years for a third, like we did for the sequel, ‘Boondock Saints: All Saints Day‘ was released in 2009.

Film Review: ‘The Fault in Our Stars’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 7th, 2014

Janet W. Here…

photo_1

STOP, a man (young man at that) really whole-heartedly pursues, woos, and loves a woman.  This must be a movie, and oh and what a movie.  The Fault in Our Stars is a romantic drama with wonderful moments of levity and truest love that are contrasted with the extreme plunges into frustrations, despair, and numbness.  This emotional rollercoaster is the journey into love between Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort).  Hazel Grace is sixteen and dying from stage 4 thyroid cancer that has virtually destroyed her ability to breathe on her own.  HG has kept to herself and perhaps given up on the idea of having a boyfriend in her life when she meets the ultimate yet genuine charmer, Gus.  It is never too late to find true love or for true love to find you.

Film Review: ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 13th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here…

grandbudapesthotel-2

There are so many filmmakers out there that have given us amazing and iconic movies. From  Steven Spielberg to Stanley Kubrick and from John Hughes to Danny Boyle, we have laughed, cried, and felt every perk on the emotion scale while watching movies through the years. However, some of our favorite filmmakers have lost their creative eye and ability to make quality films, while their movies earlier in their career won Oscars and pushed these directors to super stardom, but later in their career, their films have us questioning their talent while their films are met with very negative reviews across the board. It’s truly a sad day when this happens, and unfortunately it happens more often then I’d like to admit.

The Top 10 Gangster Movie List!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jan 19th, 2014

Jana B. here,

GangsterListBANNER

Some girls are all into sappy romances or heart touchingly saccharine-sweet movies. Movies that sometime contain a troubled family learning to love a curmudgeonly, absent  grandparent, or a shattered family recovering from the death of one of its immediate member. Sometimes it’s a pet that waltzes, unexpectedly, into a tumultuous atmosphere that teaches everyone to love more before it’s killed in some unimaginative way.

I hate movies like that. I hate books like that and I hate songs like that. If a member of a family is killed, it better be a mafia family, and I get to look forward to their violent, bloody and evil retribution.  I am so fascinated by the inner workings of these ‘families’. I love to see the fronts they use to launder their income and imagine ways I would do it if I was involved.

Film Review: ‘Out of The Furnace’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 5th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here…

out-of-the-furnace-harrelson-bale-0782013-101738

Scott Cooper’s second film ‘Out of The Furnace‘ has a lot going for it. The script and especially its amazing A-List cast might draw out a decent crowd, but a sour taste might be left in your mouth after the end credits start to roll. Cooper’s first film was ‘Crazy Heart‘ and had some similar somber tones to it as this film does, but it’s nowhere near how brutal ‘Out of the Furnace‘ truly is. But what makes this blue-collar flick ultimately suffer is the amount of filler that has nothing to do with actual premise of the movie and keep the film from moving forward at a steady pace.

Hi, Bryan Here….

the-grand-budapest-hotel-poster1

Set your schedules for March 7, 2014, for that is when Wes Anderson’s latest film, ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel‘ will be released. The film centers around the many adventures of Gustave H, an iconic concierge at the famous European hotel with his friend and colleague Zero Moustafa. There are heists, riches, and plenty of comedy.

The Top 20 Vampire Movies Of All Time!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 20th, 2013

Jana B., Here…

085 - Evil Ed

I love making lists. Grocery lists. Bucket lists. Holiday lists. Favorite movie lists. Favorite VAMPIRE movie lists. I bet that got your attention, didn’t it? This is MY list of the top 20 Vampire movies ever made. Why did I point out that it was MY list? Easy. So you read this knowing it wasn’t an Academy vote that got a movie on this list. No one paid me to promote their movie. However, I’m NOT against this, just to be clear. Why spend time putting movies in a list? Maybe it satisfies some Freudian lack of paternal affection I suffered as a child. But the real answer is, “Why wouldn’t I make a list as awesome as this?”

Hi, Bryan Here…

Actor Chris Cooper has just signed on to play Norman Osborn in the sequel to Marc Webb’sThe Amazing Spider-Man‘. Cooper joins the villains Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti) to fight Spidey this time. As of right now, we don’t know for sure if Cooper will turn into a villain in this film, but rest-assured, it will happen either at the very end or in the third sequel.

Hi, Bryan Here….

MarlinAlbertBrooksFishBigFacetsrimg1

Yes, there will be a sequel to ‘Finding Nemo‘.  And yes, Albert Brooks will be back to voice his character Marlin, the papa fish to Nemo for Pixar. The original director, Andrew Stanton is back in the director’s seat as well as Ellen DeGeneres.  So, it looks like it’s a full-on production now. No word of the fish in the dentist’s office will make appearances, but I’m sure they will, which means Willem Dafoe will be back.

Hi, Bryan Here…

On the huge success of his recent film Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson is already in hugh gear prepping his new film which is currently untitled at the moment.  As usual, Anderson has a stellar cast already in line which consists of the regular Anderson actors along with some new and interesting choices.  Now, this is just speculation according Twitch, but we hear that Anderson is scouting these actors in particular.

FedMex Reviews ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 3rd, 2012

FedMex Here….

The Amazing Spider-man is a mixed bag of treats for the whole family.  The character is being revamped at scantly over a decade since the franchise proved to be box office gold, and one can only assume that the only real reason for bringing back the web slinger is to rejuvenate the comic book hero at a time where comic book movies are both incredibly profitable and highly critically acclaimed.

Bryan’s ‘John Carter’ 3D Bluray Review!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 15th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here…

In my opinion, ‘John Carter’ is one fun ride.  I really think the executives over at Disney had no idea how to market this movie.  Of course, it showed during its theatrical run, because it didn’t make near enough as everyone thought it would.  ‘John Carter’ cost around $200 million to make and is a story of epic proportions.  The ‘John Carter’ 3D Bluray is one to own if you love action adventure films.  Don’t let the critics persuade you not to like this film, because in fact, you will enjoy it.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ is a beautiful, creative, and unique look into the life of Jesus.  Criterion rolls out the red carpet again with this blu-ray version  with top of the line video and audio presentations, some decent extras, and one hell of a film.  This is spine #70 and I highly recommend this bluray.  Definitely worth the upgrade if you already have it.
