Wolverine Sequel Finally Has A New Director!!!
Hi Bryan Here…
This competition for director of the Wolverine sequel has been going on forever it seems like. THere have been quite a few people up for the job and some who have been offered but later dropped out. Such as Darren Aronofsky who dropped out a few months ago. Well Hugh Jackman and Fox has picked their director. And that director is James Mangold.

Wolverine Might Lend His Claw To ‘Les Miserables’?!?!
Hi Bryan Here…
Director Tom Hooper’s next project will be the adaptation of the stage play ‘Les Miserables’ and he is courting Hugh Jackman to be the star. Also, actor Paul Bettany (‘Priest’, ‘Legion’) is wanting the role of Javert for which he has already read and sang the songs for execs and casting directors. The goal so far is to start production by the end of the year somewhere in Europe.
Director Duncan Jones Might Helm Wolverine Sequel!!!
Hi Bryan Here…
Seems like the rumor mill is in full force in that director Duncan Jones (Moon, The Source Code) is having meetings about directing the Wolverine sequel. At one point it was going to be Darren Aronofsky, but he pulled out at the last minute, so now the crew is trying to find someone quickly. It doesn’t seem like Duncan Jones would want to take the project on meaning it doesn’t look like his cup of tea. I feel he would want to make his own super hero film by creating a new one and not be tied down by Marvel or the big studio execs on ever single frame. Who knows? But our fellow contributor Joel, has a little something to say about this matter below.
Wolverine Has No Director!!! Darren Aronofsky Off Wolverine Film!!! SNIKT!!
Hi Bryan here…
Director Darren Aronofsky has dropped out of the next Wolverine film. Aronofsky made Pi, Black Swan, and The Wrestler. This is a fairly big blow to the comic book world. Now who knows when Wolverine will be made or if a director as good as Aronofsky would hired to take on the job.

Film Review #2: ‘Logan’!
Dan M., here….
Even when the dust settles and recency bias fades, I can’t imagine LOGAN not being considered one of the greatest superhero films of all time. For me, LOGAN is in the same class as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 1-2, Iron Man, Reeve’s Superman, Burton’s Batman, etc. I believe all of those comic films work as films and stories first, comic fun second. There are plenty of “fun” comic movies I thoroughly enjoy and love but I wouldn’t classify them as well-crafted films. LOGAN is a great story and character arc first and comic fun second. It just works on every level.
Film Review: ‘LOGAN’!
Hi everyone, Bryan here….
For decades now, we have been clamoring for a ‘Wolverine‘ film done right. From his first incarnation in Hulk #181 to his own miniseries in comic book form in the 1980’s by Frank Miller, to the amazing Saturday Morning Cartoon, and his first appearance in a feature film in 2000 with ‘X-Men‘, which had the song and dance man Hugh Jackman play the iconic character. He was so good at playing Logan/Wolverine, that fans immediately took a liking to him as that character and he went on to play the ‘Snikt-y Snikt’ character in almost a dozen more films. Besides the ‘X-Men‘ films, Wolverine got his own set of standalone films, which may or may not have been liked by a lot of people for various reasons. Either the story was too silly or the character Wolverine was to PG for fans.

Back in the saddle is Hugh Jackman as the bladed mutant, Boyd Holbrook, Doris Morgado, Patrick Stewart, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen also share the screen. Morena Baccarin Cast Opposite Ryan Reynolds in ‘Deadpool’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
If you’re like me you’ve been on pins and needles awaiting casting information from one of the latest films covering the canon of the Marvel universe, ‘Deadpool‘. Wise-cracking Wade Wilson aka Deadpool is a fan favorite for his ass-kicking capability and his witty master of the English language. Marvel originally introduced Wilson in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine‘ in 2009 played perfectly by Ryan Reynolds. In a somewhat strange turn of events, Reynolds confirmed that the current ‘Deadpool’ will have no connection to the character he originated in the Wolverine movie, but will be playing him again, in the new incarnation. This time around Wade Wilson, an assassin who undergoes a procedure to cure his cancer that ends up leaving him twisted and scarred but carrying superpowers. ‘Deadpool‘ is slated to begin filming in March and slated for 2016 release.
Hillary T.’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Review!!
Hillary T., Here…
I am a Marvel girl. I am. But after the last ensemble X-Men movie (Last Stand), I was devastated at what had become of my beloved mutant team. Then, First Class came out, which gave me a lot of hope. Then they announced Bryan Singer would return to direct the next installment. Dare I get my hopes up more? Then they shared the “Days of Future Past” storyline. I was instantly hooked. The cast started rolling in, and I got even more hopeful and well, I was really happy after the first preview. It looked good, even great.
Zack Snyder Will Direct ‘Justice League’ Film Following ‘Batman Vs. Superman’!!!
Hello, Jana here,
It looks like Warner Bros. is banking pretty heavily on Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman vs. Superman‘ release, with a so-so reception of last year’s ‘Man of Steel‘, they gave him a sequel. Not only is he doing a sequel, he cast Ben Affleck as Batman which has drawn cheers and jeers, mostly jeers, from the public since then. So it seems a little ridiculous to me that Warner Bros. has already announced a ‘Justice League‘ movie helmed by Snyder. I’m not saying a ‘Justice League‘ film isn’t a good idea, I just don’t think building the DC Universe off of the ‘Man of Steel‘ platform is the way to do it.
