by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 1st, 2011

Hi Bryan Here…

The IFMCA (International Film Music Critics Association) presented their annual awards recently.  There is no Scott Pilgrim on her, but that is only because this is for Score only, not original songs.  Take a look and tell me what you think.

Hi Bryan Here…

Director/Writer/Producer Brad Bird (Ratatouille, The Incredibles, The Simpsons, and the upcoming Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol film) accepted an award he got for excellence in animation, but was not able to attend the ceremony due to him being held captive by a couple of really suspicious people (Simon Pegg and Tom Cruise) at gun point.

Bryan’s Most Anticipated Films for 2011!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 7th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here…

So 2010 is over and 2011 has just begun.  I was recently talking with a friend and we both agreed that 2010 was kind of a let down as far as movies went.  Don’t get me wrong, there were some precious gems riddled throughout the year, but they were not many.  Basically I said, that it was a very uncool year with flashes of coolness in regards to films.

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 30th, 2010

Hi Bryan Here…

And here it is.  The last of the Ultimate Top Films of the Decade List until the Final Top 10.  So many great films are on this list.  I guess the numbering got messed up somewhere down the line so this list starts with 31.5 instead of 30 and goes to #11.  So after this list, I will reveal my Top Ten Films of the last decade.  So you can check out the entire list now and you might be able to guess what would be on my Top 10.  Please feel free to comment and let me know your guesses.  As usual, you will get the title of the film, the release date, a mini review and synopsis by yours truly, and a link to purchase the movie over at amazon for a good price.

“LOST” Actor Joins Cast of Mission Impossible 4

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 28th, 2010

Josh Halloway who played Sawyer on LOST has joined Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner for the 4th installment of Mission Impossible.

Filming begins soon in Dubai with Brad Bird directing.  Brad Bird directed Pixar’s The Incredibles and Ratatouille.  It will be interesting to see how he takes on this franchise.  I have faith in him.

Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames will be returning as the IMF team members as well as J.J. Abrams who directed the third film will be taking on the role as producer as well as coming up with the story.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the best animated movie of 2018. It is funny, charming, exciting, and carries an emotional weight I didn’t expect. Even in a year with Incredibles 2Spider-Verse manages to reach higher highs in action and storytelling.

Film Review: ‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 9th, 2018

Hotel Transylvania 3 picks up after Hotel Transylvania 2 and I assume 1. It follows the father-daughter relationship of Dracula and his daughter Mavis. The first one was about Mavis, a vampire, marrying a normal human named Jonny. The second was about Mavis and Jonny deciding where to raise their child. This one is about how tough it is being wedding planners at Count Dracula’s Castle so they all take a vacation where Dracula attempts to find love again.

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

storks-baby

Addressing the age-old question of where do babies come from is Storks. Although the blessed service once performed by storks has now been discontinued. Hunter (Kelsey Grammer), the BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS (you’ll get it when you see the film), has converted the stork baby delivery business into a new direction, packages. Junior (Andy Samberg), a high achiever, is up for promotion to BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS. One condition looms over his ascension, and it involves a girl named Tulip (Katie Crown, they should have named her Calamity Jane). With this little vixen, Junior’s life will never be the same. Mondo_OMD_Gallery_DigitalPostcard_Blog

South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin is known for being the cool place to be for music, movies, and tech every March. And it’s now starting to branch out into the art scene.  For last 2 years Mondo Gallery, a collectible art boutique with a rabid fan base and part of the uber popular Alamo Drafthouse, has had gallery openings during SXSW with lines of buyers, stretching for blocks, waiting for hours, and in some cases, days.
