Hey guys, Jana here,

Bruce_Willis

Broadway and Hollywood have shared the same actors since the beginning of film, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when a big screen actor makes the transition to the Great White Way, but on occasion, it is when it’s an actor I never really considered for that format, tonight’s shocker comes in the form of Bruce Willis.

Alan Ritchson Panel Q&A From Wizard World Comic Con!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Nov 12th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

alan-ritchson-hunger-games-catching-fire

This should be the last article I have to write about the epic event that was Wizard World Comic Con in Tulsa, Oklahoma this last weekend. The entire event was so energetic and exciting! Cosplayers far and wide showing off their hard work, time and lots of money in their creative costumes. For all the little posers that call yourselves geeks because you wear glasses or have gone to see some superhero movies, you’re an absolute disgrace to the title and we reach a level of unconsentatneous, that is to say “disagreement”. If you’re a geek, then I have no terminology for what some of these fans should be called, then.  You might dress as Gandalf to go to a party, but I met a guy that made up his own wizard name and costume, complete with vine covered staff and stayed in costume ALL. DAMN. DAY. He’s in the food court holding his beard back while he eats nachos and the beautiful people walk by smirking while they wear some face paint, a character t-shirt  and their underwear. How in the world can one dressed up person poke fun at another one? I’ll tell you how, because the smirking people are just posers.

Hey guys, Jana here,

chips02a

If the topic came up of two particular California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers, there has to be one name that comes to mind, right? ‘CHiPs‘ is indeed what we’re talking about in this article. When you look at all the sitcoms from earlier decades and the films that were made from them, cheese was the main ingredient. Be it cheddar, provolone or gouda, they were cheesy. Thankfully the filmmakers behind this remake is purposely driving the project in a very different direction.

NBC’s ‘State of Affairs’ Loses Showrunner!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 15th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

state-of-affairs-keyart-promo

When I saw the headline that Ed Bernero had stepped down as showrunner for the Katherine Heigl vehicle ‘State of Affairs‘ on NBC, I originally thought, brashly, the blame was to place on Heigl, who is notoriously difficult to work with.

Turns out Heigl had nothing to do with the clashes on set. It was mainly disagreements with creative matters between Bernero and creator/executive producer Joe Carnahan. Bernero was brought on to help steer the thriller set in Washington, D.C.  That features Heigl as A CIA officer plucked from the field to become the president’s daily briefer, assuming responsibility for targeting America’s most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job. All the while, she is investigating the circumstances regarding the death of her fiancé. Alfre Woodard is featured as President Payton.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

blade-runner-2-harrison-ford-photo

Alcon Entertainment has put out the offer to Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Rick Deckard from ‘Blade Runner‘, the hit sci-fi film from 1982 by director Ridley Scott. Since Scott released ‘Prometheus‘, which was the prequel to the ‘Alien‘ franchise, and we all saw that it did well enough at the box office to warrant a few sequels, Hollywood wanted to revive his other sci-fi film ‘Blade Runner‘. Now that project is gaining much more steam.

Forest Whitaker Joining Liam Neeson for ‘Taken 3’!?!?

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 29th, 2014

Hi, Bryan Here…

18254-2068

It’s official. Director Olivier Megaton and actor Liam Neeson will return for the third installment of the ‘Taken‘ franchise. I guess Megaton loved Forest Whitaker in ‘Bloodsport‘ and ‘Ghost Dog‘, so he has asked Whitaker to be in the third film. I imagine he’ll say yes, because what else is Forest up to, besides winning Oscars now?

Vince-Gilligan-Head-Shot-2-325

I think we’ve answered the question of what the modern equivalent of The Midas Touch is. Vince Gilligan would appear to have it. He is coming off a best series win on Sunday for his hit AMC drama ‘Breaking Bad‘. He’s now teamed up with ‘House‘ creator David Shore for an upcoming CBS drama titled ‘Battle Creek‘. CBS has finalized a production order for the 2014-2015 season already committing to 13 episodes. Gilligan originally created this at least 10 years ago. Sony will co-produce with CBS TV Studios, with Gilligan, Shore and ‘Breaking Bad’sMark Johnson all set to Executive Produce.

Film Review: ‘Fast & Furious 6’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 23rd, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

fast_and_furious_6-wide

Universal’s biggest film franchise has hit number six with more than $1.5 billion in previous sales. And it looks like this new sequel/prequel will even push that amount further into another billion, despite its awful dialogue and numerous over-the-top, zany action sequences, which seems to make the audience laugh more often than cause suspense. That being said, this film does deliver what the audience has wanted since the first film. That is all of the original actors are back this time, which includes Michelle Rodriguez. I have no doubt this will score big at the box office. At least Universal seems to think so, as they have already greenlit part 7, which will be released next July and promises more stars and bigger action.

Hi, Bryan Here….

You read that right, folks.  ‘Rear Window‘ , the Hitchcock classic will become a stage version on Broadway.  Director Jay Russell and producer Charlie Lyons have teamed up with actor Tim Guinee (Homeland) to develop the project. Lyons and Russell have worked together before on ‘The Water Horse‘ and ‘Ladder 49‘.

Hi, Bryan Here….

This is HUGE.  And not good.  In my opinion, Ball is one of the most talented showrunners in tv history.  Without him on ‘True Blood’, I can very much see this not being as good as it once was.  And with Ball out, I’d bet dollars to donuts there is going to be a major revamp to crew and writing on the series.

Emma Stone To Star in ‘Little White Corvette’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 5th, 2012

Hi Bryan Here…..

‘Superbad’ and ‘Easy A’ actress Emma Stone has just signed on to a new film called ‘Little White Corvette written by Michael Diliberti who wrote the screenplay to ’30 Minutes or Less’.  And it seems that GK Films purchased the the film for $1 million dollars up front for starters.  I’m guessing this happened since Emma Stone might get nominated for an Oscar for her role in ‘The Help’ as well as her upcoming appearance in the new Spider-Man film.  So, with Emma signing on to the film, the studio is all behind this film.

Hi Bryan Here….

If only it were to be a sequel to Face Off directed by John Woo with all the white doves and slo-mo we could handle.  Sadly that is not going to happen.  Well at least anytime soon.  But, the two actors who have such great chemistry on screen, and play well off each other are in talks to star opposite one another in not just one film, but two films in the coming future.
