Some people start out acting in movies and that’s the pinnacle of their dream. So they search out the bigger parts in better movies. There are others who use acting as a way of getting their foot in the door so they can end up on the other side of the camera in the director’s chair and Jonah Hill falls into the latter category.

The awards show is January 10 on NBC hosted by Ricky Gervais. First off, let’s look at something AWESOME here. ‘MAD MAX: FURY ROAD‘ is nominated for BEST PICTURE. It needs to win. It should win. And if does win, we all go streaking. That being said…I can’t believe that ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl‘ was not nominated for anything. Come on. It’s one of the BEST films of the year. Van Damme starred as Kurt Sloan, the corner-man for his brother and U.S. kickboxing champion, Eric Sloan. Kurt witnesses Eric’s intentional paralyzation in the ring by Thailand champ Tong Po. Of course, Kurt vows revenge, as any good brother should. He finds a trainer, Zion, and meets Tong Po in the ring for the fight of his life. My favorite thing about this film, was a very young Van Damme, and the name Tong Po. The name is just fun to say. Tong Po!

Movie Quotes

Sean Maguire:
There's honor, ya know, in taking that 40-minute so those college kids could come in the morning, and their floors are clean and their wastebaskets are empty. That's real work.
Will Hunting:
That's right.
Sean Maguire:
Right, and that's honorable. Sure, that's why you took that job. I mean, for the 'honor' of it.
