Hey guys, Jana here,

Trollsheader

DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox have released a peek at their new feature, ‘Trolls‘. The film takes it’s name from the hideous Troll dolls that marched through every child’s life and are either hidden in the darkest corners of a toy box, or they’re given a spot of honor on your desk at work, you know who you are.

And the 2016 Golden Globe Nominees Are….

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 10th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

The awards show is January 10 on NBC hosted by Ricky Gervais. First off, let’s look at something AWESOME here. ‘MAD MAX: FURY ROAD‘ is nominated for BEST PICTURE. It needs to win. It should win. And if does win, we all go streaking. That being said…I can’t believe that ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl‘ was not nominated for anything. Come on. It’s one of the BEST films of the year. It’s also interesting to see no love for the final season of ‘Mad Men’ her either. Oh well.

Here is the list of nominees:

Hey guys, Jana here,

alien_logo2.0.0

Ridley Scott has decided that as long as he’s getting such great buzz for ‘The Martian‘ and has all the press attention he could want, why not use it to tease the die-hard ‘Alien‘ fans at what is next to come in the franchise? Instead of months of calling the film a ‘Prometheus‘ sequel, we OFFICIALLY have a title – ‘Alien: Covenant‘ and we have a little more on the synopsis front, too.

Film Review: ‘The Peanuts Movie’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 5th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

la-et-mn-peanuts-schulz-family-20150421

It’s been 35 years since we last saw Charlie Brown and his friends grace screens with a new film, but in this era of reboots and bringing vintage and retro projects back to the limelight, 20th Century Fox has brought back the Peanuts in a big way. How big? A $100 million dollar CGI ‘Peanuts Movie‘, that’s how big. With director Steve Martino (‘Ice Age‘) and Charles Schulz’s kids Craig and Bryan Schulz writing and producing the film, this new look at ‘The Peanuts Movie‘ is quite satisfying for kids and adults alike.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Bryan Singer

In a union of Marvel and Fox TV Networks with FX, there is more to the X-Men franchise coming our way. These are two serial dramas that are set in the same world that we’ve come to know since the X-Men burst onto the screen in 2000.

Russ & Roger‘ is a film that is currently casting which will put the friendship between filmmaker Russ Meyer and the film critic Roger Ebert on a grand scale which is best described as a debaucherous comedy centering on two outsiders who defied the Hollywood establishment and made one of the first X-rated films ever released by a major movie studio, having the party of a lifetime in the process.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Flaming-Z-compressed1-1400x972

We’ve had ‘The Mask of Zorro‘, ‘The Legend of Zorro‘ and just plain ‘Zorro‘ among other incarnations of the caped, masked swordsman. One that we haven’t seen in the past, is in the works and on the way. This time, Zorro goes in to a post-apocalyptic future that will see less horses and more robots. I’m not so sure about this.

Film Review: ‘Fantastic Four’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 6th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

fantastic_four_2015_movie-wide

Fantastic Four‘ has always been a fun comic book. Ever since the early 60s, these four heroes have entertained us in each crime fighting, earth saving, and alien destroying issue. With Reed Richards, Johnny and Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm, there was nothing that these four couldn’t handle. One of my favorite story arcs was from the mid-2000’s where Ultimate Fantastic Four had to deal with zombies. It was an excellent storyline, one that I wish will be told on the big screen at some point. Speaking of the big screen, the Fantastic Four have never seen a good adaptation.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

BigTroubleinLittleChina_quad_UK_Bysouth-1

Okay, let me get this straight. Out of all the remakes Hollywood wants to do, why are we tackling ‘Big Trouble in Little China‘? I really hope this is a mere rumor, but The Wrap is reporting it, and it seems some industry professionals are confirming this. But yes, 20th Century Fox wants to remake the iconic 80s film that starred Kurt Russell and was directed by John Carpenter.

‘Star Wars’ Saga Finally Coming To Digital HD!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Apr 7th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

2000px-Star_Wars_Logo.svg

Star Wars‘ fans form a line, in an organized fashion, those that believe Han shot first (the truth!) to the left, all you misinformed believers that think Greedo was the quicker draw to the right. At long last, the missing piece for a true collection of the greatest space-western/opera to grace any galaxy can finally be attained! No, I’m not talking about the unaltered original trilogy, but a Digital HD release of all 6 films the ‘Star Wars‘ canon is currently comprised of.

Should ‘Alien’ Come Back To Life In A Reboot???

by Red Zeppelbon on Feb 20th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

neill-blomkamp

Sometimes things that are dead should stay dead, no matter how much we want to resurrect them, I’m on the fence which category this franchise falls into. 20th Century Fox has secured a deal with director Neill Blomkamp to bring a new ‘Alien‘ film to the big screen.

Hey guys, Jana here,

from-hell-main

From Hell‘ may sound like the name of a Johnny Depp film from the early 2000’s and you would be right. What began as a 500 page graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell, then re-worked into a 20th Century Fox film starring Depp and Robbie Coltrane. There may be a bit of a detective vibe here but don’t expect a Sherlock-type reveal. Where Jack the Ripper was quite selective of his victims, the murders themselves created an equality among the classes with fear being the common denominator. Thus ends today’s master class in ‘From Hell‘.
