Hi Bryan Here….

Universal Pictures is looking courting Jason Bateman to star alongside Vince Vaughn for a new comedy called ‘Insane Laws’.  The actors have already done a table read, and are negotiating the deals now with the actors.  “The plan is for Bateman and Vaughn to play longtime best friends, who’ve shared everything, from college to the time both got married and had kids at the same time. Cut to when those kids are away at college, and, unbeknownst to their parents, falling in love. The best friend relationship is sorely tested when the daughter of Vaughn’s character gets pregnant.”

Dragged Across Concrete – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 19th, 2019

Dragged Across Concrete is the third film from S. Craig Zahler that focuses on two police detectives (Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn) who are put on suspension and are looking to make some extra money to support their families, even if it means doing something dangerous off the grid. It’s a fantastic film for sure. The 1080p HD transfer, DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio mix, and two excellent bonus features are all worth your time. Highly Recommended!

‘Fighting With My Family’ – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 20th, 2019

“‘Fighting With My Family’ dare I say it, is my favorite film of the year so far.”

Pro-wrestling is a way of life and an escape into another universe of fun characters and storylines where it allows us to put aside real-world thoughts for a few hours and enjoy some high octane entertainment from some of the world’s best athletes and entertainers. Most of us at least one point in our lives have watched a pro-wrestling match and still vividly remember the match to a tee and who competed. After Stephen Merchant’s latest directorial effort ‘Fighting With My Family‘, you will forever remember the name Paige, a real-life woman who started wrestling at the age of 8 in England with her entire family of wrestlers, where at the age of 18, was signed to WWE and won the Women’s Championship Title, making her the youngest ever to accomplish that feat.

Favorite Movie Scene of the Day #15!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 19th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Every time I watch this scene, I find myself wincing, shrinking in my seat and covering my eyes, as if I’m watching it for the first time. I hate to say it, but I think we’ve all been here before. Maybe not as drastic as this, but some form of this – – we’ve all done it. This might be the most awkward and painful scene to watch in movie history, which is weird because it’s just one still shot of someone calling another person on the phone.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Mel Gibson is behind the camera as director of his first film in 10 years with ‘Hacksaw Ridge‘. He has amassed an amazing cast led by Andrew Garfield, with Teresa Palmer, Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn and Hugo Weaving. From the looks of the trailer we might be looking at a project that could land Gibson back into Oscar contention, maybe that will convince the studio to allow his name back on their promotional materials.

Hey guys, Jana here,

mel-gibson-2

Finally Mel Gibson has come back to DIRECTING!!!! So I’m watching some old school WWF shows while I’m writing this, but my excitement is still the same. I’ve been pushing my own private agenda and have been stumping for Gibson to have his black-ball status lifted since his…let’s just say indiscretions.

Following in the haunted footsteps of the first season of HBO’s award winning ‘True Detective‘, comes a sneak peek for the second season in the gritty, anthology series. ‘True Detective’ Fans Get Ready For Season 2!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Apr 9th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

Vince-Vaughn-Colin-Farrell-True-Detective-514711

HBO grabbed the collective viewers attention with ‘True Detective‘ in 2014. A series that won 5 Emmy Awards and was nominated for so many more accolades that it should have won. Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and Michelle Monaghan star in the freshman season of the anthology police detective show. The detectives reminesce on a case from 1995 that has been closed as solved. Questions surface that force those involved to dredge up memories from the past, in looking closer at the variables, corruption is evident on both sides of the thin blue line.

HBO Eyes Stars For ‘True Detective’ Season 2!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Aug 7th, 2014
Hey everyone, Jana here,
‘True Detective‘ was lauded by critics and fans alike in its first season. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have a loyal and already won over group of fans that followed them to the gritty series. Add into that equation fans of HBO’s unparalleled programming and production value and mystery/crime/drama fans and it’s the perfect recipe for success.  ‘True Detective‘ was lauded with Emmy nominations by the truckload. How does HBO compete with itself on such a stellar first season? With an equally star-studded and action packed second season, of course.

Film Review: ‘The Internship’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 6th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

The-Internship-Wallpaper-01

Much like ‘The Wedding Crashers‘, there is big potential for a successful comedy and tons of gut busting laughs from Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. And just like last time the two were together, we get a bland paint-by-the-numbers comedy that provides only a couple of laughs that is predictable and lacks any real entertainment that lasts more than a couple of seconds. Not making the situation any better, this comedy has a PG-13 rating in order to bring a broader and family friendlier audience to the mix, and the entire movie feels like an ode to Google, more than a comedy. That being said, Vaughn and Wilson should still draw a decent opening weekend.

There’s Gonna Be a ‘Dodgeball’ Sequel!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Apr 22nd, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

Dodgeball1080P

Patches O’Houlihan might just be back for a sequel (well in spirit anyway) of the Ben Stiller/Vince Vaughn film ‘Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story‘.  Fox and Stiller’s company Red Hour have brought on Clay Tarver to write a script for the sequel. I’m not surprised by this at all and can’t believe this didn’t happen sooner.

Movie Quotes

Interrogator:
I am instructed to inform you that you have been convicted by special tribunal and that unless you are ready to offer your cooperation you are to be executed. Do you understand what I'm telling you?
Evey Hammond:
Yes.
Interrogator:
Are you ready to cooperate?
Evey Hammond:
No.
Interrogator:
Very well. Escort Ms. Hammond back to her cell. Arrange a detail of six men and take her out behind the chemical shed and shoot her.
Guard:
It's time.
Evey Hammond:
I'm ready.
Guard:
Look all they want is one little piece of information, just give them something, anything.
Evey Hammond:
Thank you, but I'd rather die behind the chemical sheds.
Guard:
Then you have no fear any more. You're completely free.
