Toy Story 4 – Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 20th, 2019

The film that started it all was Toy Story. Pixar became a household name in 1995 with the release of their first feature film and changed the way animated movies were made and told. Pixar has since become a box office cash cow almost every year with each animated release. Their sequels even do well and dare I say some are even better than their predecessor, including Toy Story 2 and the incredible Toy Story 3, which looked to come to a conclusion in the Toy universe. It was a wide range of emotion, both happy and truly emotional on how the filmmakers ended Toy Story 3. It was like the perfect ending. Well of course, Pixar and Hollywood are a business and money talks. Since that’s the case, we now have Toy Story 4, which does nothing new and makes every thing worse in their own little universe. This is a blatant unnecessary sequel, but only succeeds on the tails of its already lovable characters and their superb voice actors.

‘Toy Story 4’ Officially In The Works!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Nov 6th, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

toy-story-3-508098b122af2

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced what came down to was that “To infinity and beyond” really means ‘Star Wars‘ can explore the beyond Woody and Buzz get second verse, same as the first, or fourth in this case. Disney animated pics have become more and more about sequels than about entirely original fare. I get it, it’s a proven brand, let’s milk it until the cow dies, in this situation, ‘Toy Story‘ is that cow and the perfect gift-wrapped ending that ‘Toy Story 3‘ gave us is being yanked away for yet another ending.

Hi, Bryan Here…

This is just so cool.  Artist Kyle Lambert did a paint mash-up of Toy Story and The Shining on his iPad.  It’s just too cool.  Here’s what he said:  “Earlier this year I began following Lee Unkrich, the director of Toy Story 3) on Twitter (@leeunkrich). As well as his journey to the Oscars with Toy Story 3, Lee often tweets about his passion for Stanley Kubrick and the movie The Shining which inspired him to pursue a career in filmmaking. Having seen both The Shining and Toy Story 3 for the first time recently myself, I thought it would be cool idea to mash the two movies together as a fun side project.”

Bryan Reviews Toy Story 3 in 3D!!! (A 3D Blu-ray Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 16th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

Dare I say Toy Stoy 3 is my favorite of the three Toy Story films?  Yes, I dare say it.  Pixar has given me so much over the years in the ways of great and original stories, characters, laughs, and tears.  Upon hearing that Pixar would be making yet a third film, I was excited yet a little weary on a third sequel.  Track records show the third sequels of many films have been terrible.  I was just hoping this would not befall Pixar’s flawless track record.  Well let me just say, that Toy Story made me laugh out loud several times, shed a few tears, and talk about how great the film was for weeks.  Not to mention that the 3D in Toy Story 3 is top notch.  This is the best the 3D has looked out of any of the Pixar films.  This is a must own film and must have for any 3D lover.  Toy Story 3 rocks!!

Bryan Reviews Toy Story 2 in 3D!!! (A 3D Blu-ray Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 15th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

Toy Story 2 is definitely in my top list of best sequels ever.  It shares the list with Godfather 2.  It’s always a crap shoot with sequels, but Pixar did it right with Toy Story.  It added new lovable characters along with some new villains.  And again with the 3D, this sequel amps of the 3D from the first film.  The story is just as good as the first one and adds new laughs and plot.  It never seems redundant from the first film and is always quick to satisfy.  Also let us note that this was the first time Pixar toyed with my emotions making me choke up.  They enjoy doing this to me in later movies like Wall-E, and Up.  But, Toy Story 2 3D edition is badass on all levels and any 3D enthusiast and lover of films and Pixar should rush out to get this.

Bryan Reviews Toy Story in 3D!!! (A 3D Blu-ray Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 15th, 2011

Hi Bryan Here….

I can’t believe it has been over a decade since Pixar won me over with Toy Story.  Year after year, Pixar has shown me their films and for three years in a row their films were my absolute favorite of the year. It all started with Toy Story.  I always thought as I’m sure most of you did that when I left my room or house, that my toys were alive and talked and had fun together without me.  Toy Story showed me how this could be real.  Not only did Toy Story create what I dreamed of every day, but it paved the way for every CG film made since then.  Toy Story was the first.  It truly was a milestone and achievement in filmmaking.  And add to that they amazing story, cast, and music.  I whole heartedly love this movie.

Hi Bryan Here….

In more Disney and Pixar 3D news, all three ‘Toy Story’ films will be re-released in 3D Bluray.  I won’t be surprised to see in the coming weeks Disney and other film companies releasing their titles again in the 3D format.  As far as I can see now, the only difference between these 3D releases and the previous bluray versions is the actual 3D portion itself.  Read below all the specs and info.

Blu-ray Review: The Lion King Signature Series!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 29th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

THE FILM

I remember when this came out in the cinema.  I was totally and utterly infatuated with this film.  I loved everything about ‘The Lion King’. I loved the characters, the animation, the music, and the story.  It was unbelievable when I first saw it at the age of 13.  Now I am almost 36, and the film still makes me feel like I did when I first saw it.  I am still completely in awe of ‘The Lion King’. Six years after the big Diamond Edition of the Blu-ray, which included 3D, we now have the Signature Collection of the film, which has some new bonus features, along with some older ones. The audio and video presentations seem to be the same transfers.

4K UHD Review: ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 15th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

THE FILM

This portion of the review was written by Suzanne Loranc.

Everyone can understand that the second movie in any series can be the problematic middle child of a franchise. They tend to suffer between the spellbinding beginning and the satisfying conclusion. However, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire rises above the usual awkward bridge label with excellent performances and a script that remains faithful to the book to make it a movie that could almost stand on its own.

Film Review: ‘Storks’!!

by Janet White on Sep 23rd, 2016

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

storks-baby

Addressing the age-old question of where do babies come from is Storks. Although the blessed service once performed by storks has now been discontinued. Hunter (Kelsey Grammer), the BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS (you’ll get it when you see the film), has converted the stork baby delivery business into a new direction, packages. Junior (Andy Samberg), a high achiever, is up for promotion to BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS. One condition looms over his ascension, and it involves a girl named Tulip (Katie Crown, they should have named her Calamity Jane). With this little vixen, Junior’s life will never be the same. Get ready to enjoy an animated movie in a way we’ve never enjoyed one before. Very R-Rated and not at all appropriate for kids. Ladies, check your tampons at the door because this is the red band trailer for ‘Sausage Party‘. A raunchy, hilarious look at the food we eat every day and this chick loves what she sees!
