‘The Brink’ Is Coming To HBO With Jack Black and Tim Robbins!!
Jana B. here,
HBO, in a quick move, has given a series order to ‘The Brink‘. The comedy stars Jack Black (‘Tropic Thunder‘, ‘School of Rock‘) and Tim Robbins (‘The Shawshank Redemption‘ and ‘Mystic River‘), directed by Jay Roach (‘Meet The Parents‘, ‘Austin Powers‘) and executive produced by Jerry Weintraub (‘The Karate Kid’ franchise, ‘Oceans Eleven’ and the newly announced ‘Tarzan’). Now that we have the proven star power behind this project, we need talented writers to bring it to fruition. Roberto Benabib and his brother Kim Benabib are penning the script. Roberto Benabib has shown a master handle on writing a dark comedy with his successful stint at writing for the show ‘Weeds‘ and ‘Ally McBeal‘.

‘Here and Now’ is coming to HBO in February from ‘Six Feet Under’ and ‘True Blood’ Creator!
Alan Ball has a new show coming out on HBO, meaning we should all pay attention to this. The new show is called ‘Here and Now‘ and stars Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins. If you don’t remember who Alan Ball is, he wrote a great film called ‘American Beauty‘, which won a ton of awards. He then went on to create ‘Six Feet Under‘ and ‘True Blood‘ for HBO. We’ve all been waiting patiently since then for him to come back to work on a new HBO series.

‘The Shawshank Redemption’ Re-Cast!!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
Here is one of our infamous Re-Cast segments. We went ahead and recast one of the best movie ever made, ‘The Shawshank Redemption‘, is still an Amazing film that starred Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman, Bob Gunton, William Sadler, and Clancy Brown. There is no way we can replace any of the amazing actors aboard here, but in this day and age, a remake is more likely to happen than not. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us? Let us know if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. Haley Joel Osment Joins ‘Entourage’!!
Jana B. here,
Haley Joel Osment is a name that is said pretty much in the same sentence as “Have you seen ‘The Sixth Sense‘? You know the one that kid Haley Joel Osment is in?” For me, he kind of dropped off the radar since the flop that was ‘A.I.: Artificial Intelligence‘ and the mildly successful ‘Secondhand Lions‘ in 2003. Turns out he has voiced a slew of video game characters and has been in some movies I’ve never heard the name of. Osment is currently finishing up production on the Kevin Smith-directed comedy ‘Tusk‘ that is expected to release this fall.
Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer Are Looking To Team Up For New Comedy Series!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
This is pretty huge news. Not in a long time have two big name actors decided to team up for a tv series for a network channel. Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer are looking to develop and star in a new comedy project for Lionsgate. The meetings started before Thanksgiving and we hear that both Lawrence and Grammer have amazing chemistry. I’d buy that since Lawrence had such great chemistry with another tall white guy, Tim Robbins in ‘Nothing to Lose‘.
‘Treme’ Returns for 3rd Season Sept. 23!!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
First, the people came back. Then, the crime. Now, more than two years after the near death of a great city, the money is starting to arrive, which would sound like a solution if this were some place other than New Orleans, and this was some other era but America at the millennium. For the people of New Orleans, even the promises of redevelopment come with strings attached, and every dollar that shows up – whether from government disaster relief, or from venture capital, or even from those seeking to remake New Orleans in the wake of Katrina – carries with it new dynamics and new risks. National interest has waned, moving on to the next headline, but those who know and love the Crescent City have no choice. They must find their way back to what matters in the life of their city. However, little of what they can bring to bear yields a quick result, and nothing about New Orleans – its government, its police department and courtrooms, its school system – works as it should. Nothing is easy. In the end, their only weapons are community. And culture.

Hi, Bryan Here….
The Toronto Film Festival is coming up quickly and it looks like it is going to be one for the books. ‘Looper’ is going to open up the festival with several other centerpiece films that strike my fancy. Two of them include Joss Whedon’s Shakespeare film ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, and Terrence Malick’s new film, ‘To The Wonder’. Can’t wait. Below is the official press release. Who’s going? Piers Handling, CEO and Director of TIFF, and Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival, made the first announcement of films to premiere at the 37th Toronto International Film Festival. Films announced include titles in the Galas and Special Presentations programmes. The announced films include 17 Galas and 45 Special Presentations, including 38 world premieres.
Superman Has A Hot Mom!!!
Hi Bryan Here…
This is great news. I am glad Snyder went with this actress. Changing the homely looking mother of Superman to one hot mom. That’s right. Mama Kent (Martha Kent) will be played by hot actress, Diane Lane (UnfaIthful, The Perfect Storm, and Judge Dredd).

‘Pledge’ – Film Review!
Not to be confused with the Jack Nicholson vehicle ‘The Pledge’, the filmmakers dropped the “the” and is simply ‘Pledge‘, which is by far the best horror/thriller this year. It will be tough to find a genre movie in 2019 that is this fast-paced, fun, and not afraid to get sticky. There are no sidebars or long tangents going on in this film, as it’s straight and to the point and has the action and terror from the very beginning in this ‘Hostel‘ meets ‘The Skulls‘ story line. In fact, I would imagine the same people that attend the ‘Eyes Wide Shut‘ party for Stanley Kubrick started out in this fraternity that is portrayed here.
Blu-ray Review: ‘Crimson Peak’!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
THE FILM
When Guillermo Del Toro makes a movie, you pay attention, but a ticket, strap yourself in the seat, and prepare your eyeholes for something that is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you. With a resume that includes ‘Pan’s Labyrinth‘, ‘Hellboy I & II‘, ‘Blade II‘, ‘Pacific Rim‘, and ‘The Devil’s Backbone‘, you know for sure, you’re in for something special when Del Toro is involved. That brings us to his latest masterpiece of cinema, ‘Crimson Peak‘. Now I know that the trailers for ‘Crimson Peak‘ paint a picture that makes this look like a straight horror film, which is not the case here.

Netflix Scoops Up ‘Richie Rich’ For Live Action Series!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
The 80’s were all about excess. If you liked neon, you didn’t wear just a little bit of neon in your wardrobe, you saturated yourself with it, if you wore makeup, it was caked on thicker than Dee Snider’s and if you watched a cartoon about a rich kid, he had to be the most opulent image of wealth a kid could fathom which basically came down to swimming in a pool of money with a dog named Dollar.

Who Is Ready For The Country, Ya’ll?
Believe it or not, Neil Young and the country go together like peanut butter and jelly, mashed potatoes and gravy and Woodward and Bernstein, so it’s no surprise when Young rocks and roars “Are You Ready For The Country” everyone listens.
Neil Young International Harvesters “A Treasure” is a 12 track collection of brilliant live material culled from Young’s 1984-85 tour, several tracks which have never been before released, which drops on the streets Tuesday, June 14th.
