Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

It’s hard to believe that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels introduced us to the iconic characters Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas twenty years ago. I was thirteen at the time and found ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ to be one of the funniest movies I’ve seen up until that point. There were enough jokes for three movies, most of which I didn’t catch on my first or even second viewing. It took multiple viewings to  catch every single joke in the first ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ movie.

But, things are in full motion now and yes, we will have a ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ sequel this year.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Finally, after some stalls, delays, and other production problems, the sequel to ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ is definitely in production as we speak. It’s almost been 20 years since the first film that starred a young Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Sure, they tried to make a prequel several years ago where Harry and Lloyd met in High School, which was a terrible film, but nothing since then.

Are there any sweeter words in this world than Comicon? If there are, I haven’t heard them. This weekend saw Wizard World making its way back to Tulsa for another year of entertaining programming, fan meet & greets, and more cosplay than any normal human can handle. Good thing we’re all super-nerds, eh?

Well folks, it was quite a year at the cinema.  After totaling everything up, I was lucky enough to watch 35 films in theaters.  There’s some great films that I missed, and some that I avoided like the plague, but out of those that I did catch, here’s the best of 2013.

Hi Bryan Here…..

Jim Carrey is currently in negotiations with New Line to star opposite Steve Carrel in ‘Burt Wonderstone’.  Carell plays the title character, a Las Vegas magician who breaks with his longtime stage partner and finds himself upstaged by a rival hip street magician who is stealing his thunder.  I’d imagine Carrey will play the hipper rival magician.

‘Green Book’ – 4K UHD Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 19th, 2019

THE FILM

(Film Review Portion Written by Beka Perlstein)

Green Book is a dramedy based on the real-life friendship between the most unusual of friends. Donald Shirley (Mahershala Ali), of The Don Shirley Trio, and “Tony Lip” Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen), a bouncer from the Copa, embark on a concert tour through the South with Vallelonga as Shirley’s driver. The name of the film is taken from the pamphlet that was published during the 1960s that informed black people of establishments that were safe for them to stay in, eat at, or stop at while traveling. That was a foreign concept to me, as well as Vallelonga in the movie, as the only time Green Book is explained is when he is made aware that there will be times the two can’t stay at the same hotels and he is provided with the book.

While you’re eating those delicious bites of Turkey, watching ‘Charlie Brown Thanksgiving‘ or the Dallas Cowboys Game, we want to share with you some movies that we are thankful for. These movies have touched us in some way and have helped shaped our creative lives. Maybe this list will inspire you to make your own list and share it with us. These are the movies we are thankful for and dearly love.
