Hi, Bryan Here….

We have been talking about a third film for ‘Bill and Ted’ for what seems like a year now.  We have heard from both Keanu and Alex about how they want to do a third film and how they are working on a story for it.  Well, it seems all the work has paid off as there will be a third film.  Both Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are attached to star with Dean Parisot to direct.  Parisot was responsible for ‘Galaxy Quest’.

If Bill and Ted travel through time again…..??

by Bryan Kluger on Aug 30th, 2010

This past weekend at the New Beverly in L.A., a double feature of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey was screened and was SOLD OUT.  As it should be.  Bill (Alex Winter) was there live in person to introduce the films and do a Q & A.

Someone asked if there was going to be a third film and Alex said that he and Keanu and Ed Solomon have been brainstorming ideas and that they want to make an amazing third film and not a crappy one like so many sequels these days.  That had ideas even to make a rated R third film.  If they come up with a story that was worth making it will definitely happen.

I can’t express how badly I want a third Bill and Ted film.  Sadly there will be no George Carlin, but to see these characters on screen in a new adventure would rock my geek world.

Let me know what you would like to see in a third Bill and Ted movie.

Bill & Ted Face The Music – Film Review!

by Bryan Kluger on Aug 27th, 2020

“Bill & Ted Face The Music is a ton of fun and is most triumphant.”

Throughout the centuries, there has always been brutality and war, fascist government regimes who aim to hurt people, and most recently – the current political and social climate that has boiled over into bloodshed and hatred. Luckily, there are flashes of excellent victories of peace and friendship due to the excellent friendship of San Dimas locals Bill & Ted. Their most Excellent Adventure saved the world with them traveling through time, collecting historical figures for their history report, and their Bogus Journey had them crossing paths with Death, God, and Satan as they traveled through heaven and hell, only to come back and play a song to unite the world in harmony. Now almost thirty years later, this everlasting duo tackles their most heinous adventure yet in Bill & Ted Face The Music as a now older Bill & Ted must play a newly written song that would save the universe, reality, and time before it implodes on itself, destroying all life. Bringing back cast and crew along with some heartwarming messages, this third film is a ton of fun and is most triumphant.

THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND – Film Review!

by Bryan Kluger on Jun 8th, 2020

” The King of Staten Island is the next step in the heartfelt comedy world. “

Film Director Judd Apatow has an uncanny ability in telling a transformative story about a character who at first is rough and ragged around the edges, but by the end of the tale is a magnificent piece of human existence, willing and ready to be better, which is what most people strive for in life – – complete with unlimited humor. With Apatow’s latest film The King of Staten Island, the SNL funnyman Pete Davidson gives a hefty dose of his personal life that mixes perfectly with Apatow’s brand of comedy and storytelling about a 24-year-old man still struggling to deal with the death of his father when he was a child and navigating his mundane life, not realizing what wonderful elements are surrounding him. The King of Staten Island is poignant and significant in dealing with grief and growing up, along with some gleefully funny sequences that mold flawlessly with some heartfelt emotions in what is to be Apatow’s best film to date.

Is this a dream? I’m dreaming, right? Quentin Tarantino is about to beam up to the ‘Star Trek‘ franchise and that’s not joke. Tarantino, who is a big fan of all films, came up with a ‘Star Trek‘ storyline for a new film and talked with JJ Abrams about it. Abrams liked it so much, because why wouldn’t he, and the two have started to assemble a writer’s room who will knock out a big script based on Tarantino’s idea.

Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day Lewis are back at it again with a new film called ‘Phantom Thread‘, which is set to release on Christmas later this year. I’m quite sure the film, along with both Lewis and Anderson will be nominated for all the Oscars. Of course, Anderson brought us ‘Boogie Nights‘ all those years ago and has continued to bring us amazing films over the years. He even teamed with Daniel Day Lewis with ‘There Will Be Blood‘, which is still talked about today, milkshakes and all.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The most popular and well-known man in the world was and maybe still is Michael Jackson. He had fans all over the world and inspired not only the common folk, but many great musicians over the past 30 years years. Michael Jackson won tons of awards for his music, produced and created some of the best songs ever made, delivered the best music videos, and started a big charity called Heal the World. His life was in the tabloids constantly with hideous scum people making up stories that forced him to be a recluse for most of his life. He was just a man who became a father to three kids and when he was pushing 50 years old, he was more or less forced to perform 50 concerts as a way to make ends meet and provide for his family. Much has been said over the many years about Michael Jackson.

Dan M., Here….

fast-and-furious-04252011

I saw The Fast and The Furious when I was 14 or 15. As someone who grew up watching Point Break on VHS and other 80s/90s action movies it was right in my wheel house. I have never been a car guy but I still remember that summer talking with my friends about Honda Civics, Nos, and spoilers that we’d all be getting when we turned 16. The first movie is a step by step remake of Point Break, right down to letting the “bad guy” go at the end with “I owe you a 10 second car” instead of “Vaya Con Dios.” It stared two relatively unknowns in Paul Walker and Vin Diesel who will never be confused with Daniel Day Lewis but were born to play these parts. Ultimately was a fun summer popcorn movie that no one thought they’d hear from again, let alone turn into an almost 4 billion dollar franchise.

Finally, the ‘Andre the Giant‘ documentary that we’ve always wanted is happening with WWE, HBO, and Bill Simmons, which is a hell of a production team right there. This will be a feature length documentary about the wrestling superstar that brought the pro-wrestling business into the big spotlight. Andre Roussimoff was 7’4 and weighed 500 pounds and was one of the biggest names in wrestling. He’s still talked about today. Roussimoff was born in France in 1946 and started wrestling at age 17. He went to Japan, which caught the likes of Vince McMahon Sr. who then signed him to the WWE brand.

Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn are ‘Snatched’!

by Bryan Kluger on Feb 7th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

thumbnail_25315

There is a new trailer for a movie called ‘Snatched‘, which stars Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn as mother and daughter who vacation in the tropics together, but somehow end up “snatched” and kidnapped by some evil people. So Goldie Hawn came out of retirement to do this movie? It’s been 15 years since we last saw Goldie in a film, but I guess she is passing the torch to Amy Schumer here. The film is directed by Jonathan Levine who made ‘50/50‘, ‘Warm Bodies‘, and ‘The Night Before‘.

Film Review: ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’!

by Bryan Kluger on Jan 19th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

Has it really been 15 years since we last saw Vin Diesel as Xander Cage, jumping off mountains and beating up the bad guys across the globe? Why yes it has. Only a few years later, we got a ‘xXx‘ sequel with Ice Cube in the spotlight, rather than Vin Diesel. It was stated in the sequel that Vin Diesel’s character was killed off, leaving Ice Cube to pick up the pieces and become the action star in the early 2000s. Now, it’s 2017 and Vin Diesel makes $1 billion dollar ‘Fast and Furious’ movies, so Hollywood finally gave the greenlight to another ‘xXx‘ film that has Diesel returning as Xander Cage, despite the fact that he’s already dead. These things don’t matter with this third installment, titled ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage‘.
