It’s that time again, San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC is about to blow it’s gates wide open on the weird, strange, geeky and just unusual who have made the pilgrimage to San Diego for this geek-version of Mecca. The entertainment world has teased with promises of viewing new movies first, checking out trailers we’ve waited all year to see and the always entertaining panel discussions that bring fans up close to the actors that play our favorite characters.

Looks like Deadpool is trying to find a way there, so sit back, relax and follow me on  on Twitter or Facebook or check out the hashtag #BoomstickComics for all the latest in Comic-Con excitement.

Hey guys, Jana here,

San Diego Comic-Con may be over, but the news is still pouring in regarding the hottest trailers and info regarding shows and movies to look for in the coming year. Kurt Sutter, the genius behind ‘Sons of Anarchy‘ and ‘The Shield‘ gifted those in attendance with the first trailer to the project Sutter turned to after SOA took its final ride, ‘The Bastard Executioner‘. It was also aired on FX during the second season premiere of ‘The Strain‘.

Hey guys, Jana here,

maxresdefault

If you watched the season 5 finale of  AMC’sWalking Dead‘ you caught the first teaser for ‘Into the Badlands‘, a new genre-bending martial arts series that will make it’s home at the innovative cabler in the fall which left it’s tagline of “There is no god in the Badlands”. It’s a good hook to be sure, and that was enough to pique interest until yesterday morning at the entertainment mecca that is San Diego Comic-Con where a clip was presented with cast members participating in a panel discussion.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Morgan Spurlock hits a home run with his new documentary, Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope.  Spurlock’s previous documentaries are: Super-Size Me, Greatest Movie Ever Sold, and the FX series 30 Days.  In all of these documentaries, Spurlock conducts different social experiments, always putting himself in front of the camera as the guinea pig.  With Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, he is not seen on camera but rather follows several different people as they attend the one, the only, San Diego Comic-Con.

Hi Bryan Here…

The San Diego Comic Con badges this year have been riddled with tons of failure this year.  First they decided to sell their 2011 badges on November of 2010 and once they went on sale, it almost immediately crashed their site.   They tried again on November 22nd with the same results.  Then they tried a test sale where they put  up 1000 badges for sale in December and they sold out in 60 seconds. Hey guys, Jana here,

When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief, and his friends must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back. It’s a fairly non-descript premise for the series that grabbed the country’s attention and hasn’t let go, yet. Of course, I’m talking about ‘Stranger Things‘. The proof of that is the way Hall H erupted during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con where Netflix gave us a “Thriller” trailer for season 2. There are more questions than answers we have in the new trailer, but one question that was answered is “Does Barb come back for season 2?”
