Christmas Day 2018 will see the release of a long-awaited sequel to a beloved movie from Disney that debuted in 1964, I’m talking about ‘Mary Poppins‘ of course! Julie Andrews won’t be floating in to save the day as the carpet bag has been passed to Emily Blunt who will star in ‘Mary Poppins Returns‘.

Holiday Movie Round-Up 2018!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 27th, 2018

Holmes & Watson

First movie I have walked out of by choice in years. What a steaming pile of crap. I knew it was bad going in, considering they didn’t even try to promote it in any way, shape, or form. There was only one trailer I’m aware of and the same TV spot played occasionally during sporting events. When a studio has a comedy they believe will be successful coming out on Christmas they promote the hell out of it. I wish they buried this one even deeper than they did. I didn’t walk out to make some high brow “cool guy” statement.

Mary Poppins Returns: Film Review!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 19th, 2018

Practically perfect in every way. It describes the nanny known as Mary Poppins, as well as the film that brings her back into the lives of the young and young at heart. Mary Poppins Returns is hitting theaters more than fifty years after Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke made the film a smashing success. This sequel brings a new Mary to life with Emily Blunt as Poppins and Lin Manuel Miranda as her lamplighter sidekick. It’s different, but it doesn’t stray, and it certainly will have audiences smiling, singing, and raving about the delightful nanny’s return.

HBO orders 10th season of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 14th, 2017

It was several years between season 9 and season 9 of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘, which the 9th season just ended on HBO to rave reviews and huge laughs. It was one of my favorite seasons for sure where Larry David had a Fatwa placed on him. The President of HBO programming Casey Bloys announced today that a 10th season will be happening and production will start next spring. Yes, that means we will have to wait a year at the most for a new season and not several years like in the past.

Blu-ray Review: ‘Moana’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 9th, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

THE FILM

Moana‘ is the latest animated film from Disney, releasing a few months after their big hit ‘Zootopia’. No matter what film Disney releases, the usual messages and tone are consistent in every film. However, Disney magically manages to make each film feel very fresh, unique, and original with excellent characters, animation, and story lines that not only captivate me with each film, but to the masses as well. ‘Moana’ is no different here, as it looks visually stunning, as well as have an top notch story with excellent voice talent and songs.

Disney’s Live-Action Calendar Looks Amazing!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Apr 26th, 2016

Hey guys, Jana here,

emma_stone_cruella_de_vil_split

Disney loves the live-action fairy tale trend as it’s proven by the last few years of their movie catalog, so it’s not surprising they are planning out a slate of movies into the next several years.

Hi, Bryan Here…..

oscar_statues-4_3_r560

Earlier this morning, Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone announced the Oscar nominations, which MacFarlane came across as pretty funny.  I’m excited for him to host the Oscars this year.  And, his film ‘Ted‘ actually got nominated. How cool is that?  Below is the full list of Oscar nominations.  Let us know what you think.  We will be posting a separate article soon on Oscar snubs, because believe me, there are many.  And don’t forget, we will be doing our annual LIVE OSCAR COMMENTARY, which will mark the 6th time we have done it.  It promises tons of laughs.

Movie Quotes

Roman Nagel:
Well, I'm gonna give you back the hundred grand.
Danny Ocean:
Why?
Roman Nagel:
Danny, I like you. And you Rusty. I mean, you've got style. You've got brio. You've got loyalty. Believe me, I would love to go up against Greco and crush him... but it can't be beat. It can't be hacked and it can't be beat.
Danny Ocean:
Not even by you?
Roman Nagel:
Oh, with 18 months, nothing else on my plate, no other jobs, no women, no distractions... maybe.
Rusty Ryan:
But you know everything about this thing.
Roman Nagel:
Everything, except where it's being deployed. The inventor's an old schoolmate of mine. His name is Greco Montgomery. Pompus arse named it after himself.
Rusty Ryan:
Greco? Roman?
Roman Nagel:
You've obviously never served time in a British boarding school.
