This will be the In-Home Debut for a handful of the shorts. Mark your calendars, if you want your copy on Digital HD or Disney Movies Anywhere, you get an early date of August 11, 2015, if you’re waiting for DVD or Blu-ray, you can pick those up on August 18, 2015.   Read on to check out Disney’s lineup.

Disney has done it again, they’ve taken a popular musical and put it on screen. There are all kinds of takes on how well the film did, the casting choices and even the songs (Hello? Didn’t anyone see the original show before?), not to mention the flack over the prolific double entendres uttered by Johnny Depp’s Big Bad Wolf to Lilla Crawford’s Red Riding Hood, once again, did you NOT see the original people? I loved it, one of the high points is Meryl Streep as the witch. Meryl is flawless regardless her role. Now the Blu-ray is coming on March 24, 2015!!!

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

I can’t believe it’s finally happening. Disney is releasing their first 4K UHD release with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which couldn’t be a more perfect debut release in the new format. Disney has been holding out for a while now, while other studios have been releasing their new and vintage films in 4K. It was only a matter of time. There will be Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos included on the release as well, along with quite a few fun bonus features. You’ll be able to watch the film on digital platforms, starting August 8th, and purchase the actual 4K UHD Disc on August 22nd. So now I’m impatiently waiting for Disney to start announcing some vintage vault films and shows, re-releasing in 4K UHD. It’s only a matter of time, but expect my wallet to dwindle down with the following announcements.

Has it really been 75 years since that little deer went on an adventure and captured the hearts of the millions…..and millions of people. Yes it has. Well, Disney is opening the vault again and releasing ‘Bambi‘ on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Can’t wait.

OFFICIAL RELEASE: “Bambi,” which celebrates its 75^th anniversary this year, joins the Collection on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on May 23, and on Blu-ray™, DVD and On-Demand on June 6.  The Collection release includes a variety of new bonus material, including recordings of Walt Disney discussing the challenges and triumphs during the production of “Bambi;” deleted scenes and characters; stories and effects that “Bambi” had on the Studio, other films and artists; and much, much more. ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ is coming to Blu-ray on April 4th and on Digital HD on March 24th, which is just a week away. I’ve been looking forward to this for quite some time. With a DTS-HD MA 7.1 sound mix and some pretty solid looking extras, I’m betting this Blu-ray is going to get played at least a dozen times a week. The film earned a 95% critics’ consensus on Rotten Tomatoes and the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office opening weekend. Now, “Moana” sets a new course, arriving to homes on Digital HD/3D and Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) on Feb. 21, and on Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on March 7.

Disney is bringing ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass‘ to home video everywhere on October 18. The film will be available on the usual myriad of options such as Digital HD, Blu-ray, Disney Movies Anywhere, DVD and On-Demand. While director Tim Burton didn’t return to the sequel set in the magical world he created, but passed the baton to James Bobin.

The animated feature is the best reviewed movie of 2016, so far and will be a fantastic addition to your home video collection. Directed by Byron Howard (‘Tangled‘, ‘Bolt‘) and Rich Moore (‘Wreck-It Ralph‘, ‘The Simpsons‘) and produced by Clark Spencer (‘Wreck-It-Ralph‘, ‘Lilo & Stitch‘).
