Stronger‘ is the film that stars Jake Gyllenhaal as real life survivor Jeff Bauman. Jeff was a regular guy living on Boston who was at the Boston Marathon in 2013, where the big bomb went off. He ended up losing both of his legs in the blast. He did help identify on of the bombers and had to learn to live life without his human legs.


The film arrives on Digital Streaming on December 5th and Blu-ray on December 19th. Miranda Richardson also stars in the film, as well as Clancy Brown. There only looks to be one extra on the Blu-ray at this time.

Official Synopsis 

Inspired by the true story, Stronger stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Jeff Bauman, a working-class Bostonian who was at the 2013 marathon when the bomb blast occurred and he tragically lost both of his legs. After regaining consciousness Jeff was able to help law enforcement identify one of the bombers, but his own battle had just begun. Jeff’s deeply personal journey tests a family’s bond and defines a community’s pride as he overcomes adversity to become the living embodiment of “Boston Strong.”
