There’s some casting movement on the Disney, live-action ‘Dumbo‘ front. Tim Burton has been putting together a retelling of the elephant story for some time now and has a few actors already on the payroll for the project. Those include Eva Green (‘Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children‘), Danny DeVito (‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘) and Colin Farrell (‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them‘).

Now Michael Keaton is in talks to play the villain of the story, Vandemere. Vandemere runs a much bigger circus that buys the one Medici (DeVito) runs. Green will play Colette, a French trapeze artist who works for Vandemere, Farrell will play Holt, a widowed father of two kids from Kentucky who learn to adore Dumbo.

Some of the cast is familiar with working with Burton, as Keaton joined the acclaimed director for ‘Beetlejuice‘, ‘Batman‘ and ‘Batman Returns‘. DeVito joined Burton for ‘Big Fish‘ and ‘Batman Returns‘, and Green was the star of ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children‘ and ‘Dark Shadows‘.
