There are two kinds of people in the world: those who love Madea movies, and those who hate Madea movies. I belong to the first group and if you don’t feel the same way, why are you reading this? No, come back – keep reading! Maybe we can convert you to the cause.

Tyler Perry’s first movies that featured his cross-dressing creation always had plenty of funny moments, but they were always wrapped up in a film that was a serious drama. Then came ‘Madea’s Witness Protection‘ and the drama decreased significantly. Granted the movie is full of typical and expected jokes, but I still laughed and still love watching it. ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween‘ follows in the same vein as not appearing to have much of a serious dramatic story involved, but it should be heavy on the funny.

Can we just look at the genius in the poster design for a minute? One of Madea’s most hilarious sayings is incorporated into the poster that gives more than just a passing nod to the ‘Halloween‘ franchise. Brilliance!

Madea winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens. This one comes to theaters October 21, 2016, just in time for the Halloween holiday.
