Hi, Bryan Here….

One of the more popular wrestlers in the WWE in the past few years, CM Punk, has allegedly walked out on the organization. This may not have surprised WWE fans, as over the last few weeks, there has been speculation that Punk won’t renew his contract with the company, which is up very soon.

Recently, Punk held the WWE Championship belt for over a year, but since he lost the belt, his storyline and matches have been put on the backburner, and while he is still incredibly popular with the crowd, he doesn’t receive the air time or better story-lines like he once did. Recently, Punk walked out of some house shows, meaning shows that weren’t televised, and he told WWE CEO Vince McMahon that he was “going home”.

And if you watched this past Sunday’s Royal Rumble, you would have seen them there, but next day’s live taping of RAW, he was nowhere to be found, as he didn’t show up. Sure, I understand wrestling is “fake”. The matches are pre-determined, and it’s all part of the entertainment aspect. And of course, many a wrestling super-star has “quit” and “walked off” in the past, only to return a few weeks later. And this can certainly be the case here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the other way, and we had to say a real goodbye to CM Punk.

I’m just hoping that this is just part of a very cool storyline for Wrestlemania XXX, which airs in April. One of CM Punk’s recent tweets said, “Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it’s pretty cool.” Take that as you will, but hopefully, Punk will be around for a while. The WWE needs him.
