Hi, Bryan Here…

Way out of left field, but David Gordon Green will direct the remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 Horror opus ‘Suspiria’.  Green directed ‘Pineapple Express’, ‘The Sitter’, ‘Your Highness’, and several episodes of ‘Eastbound and Down’ for Showtime.  Casting is underway as they are looking for their Suzie,  the young protagonist who travels to Europe to attend a world renowned school. After a series of brutal murders, the young American student learns that the academy is a front for something way more sinister than education. The original had a surreal, psychedelic tone that involved the supernatural, witches and a whole lotta blood.

“We love the style and energy of the original film – and David’s script brilliantly updates the world, presenting a rare opportunity to create an elegant, classic horror film,” Crime Scene partners Ripp and Paris said in a statement according to Deadline.

I’m a huge fan of the original film.  It’s in my top 5 scariest films of all time.  I just hope this pans out correctly.  Please don’t fuck this up.  I just hope the dog scene is as scary as in the original.

Your thoughts?
