Hi, Bryan Here….

Universal Pictures Stage office said it is currently developing a musical based on ‘National Lampoon’s Animal House’. No casting has been done yet, but the Barenaked Ladies have been tapped to provide original music for the show.  The production will be directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw who made ‘Book of Mormon’ possible for Trey and Matt of South Park.

This announcement comes on the anniversary of John Belushi’s death which was 30 years ago according to NYT.  I am excited aboutt hs project for sure, but the Barenaked Ladies?  Really?  I think we can do better than that.  Maybe it will be better than I expect, but I know one thing for sure.  I’ll be wearing my toga to the premiere.

So a musical huh?   Will there be the Faber College theme?  A Barenaked Ladies version of Louie Louie?  Shout?  Hey Paula?  Twistin’ The Night Away?  Weird.  Your thoughts?
