Hi, Bryan Here…

So in an effort to ramp up their animation devision, Paramount will be releasing a ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ film at the end of 2014.  Maybe the Mayans will be right and we won’t make it to 2014.  And who knows, maybe David Hasselhoff  won’t either.  Viacom president and CEO Philippe Dauman said “We will be releasing a SpongeBob movie at the end of 2014, which will serve to start off or be one of our films that starts off our new animation effort.”

Viacom already released a ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ movie a few years ago, but they seem to think that, the character wasn’t really well known back then, and now with his popularity, they only see dollar signs.  Do we need another ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ film?  No.  Will it make a lot of money?  Most likely?  I’ll say this though?  I’ll be staying away from the theatres when this comes out.

Your thoughts?
