Hi Bryan Here….

Just hearing that makes me giddy, but also at the same time, nervous.  This film could go either way really.  Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin are all set to star in an action comedy called ‘Stand Up Guys’.  It was originally called ‘Old Timers’.  Good title change.  The movie will be directed by Fisher Stevens.  Yes.  That Fisher Stevens.

According to HWR, the film follows two aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend. They decide to enjoy one last night of debauchery in which they hit up a brothel, steal some cars and evade police but also face the choices they made in their lives.  Everyone is hoping to start shooting in April in Los Angeles.

Really the only thing I think of when I read or hear the name Fisher Stevens is ‘Short Circuit 1 and 2.  Yeah I know Stevens won an Oscar for the Cove, but wow.  And like I said above, this film could be really good or really bad.  I’m hoping for the good in this.  Hopefully Walken has a watch monologue.

Your thoughts?
