The Bishop Charlotte Reporting….

Catherine Zeta-Jones will join Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg in the Allan Hughes (The Book of Eli) film Broken City. A Brooklyn detective (Wahlberg) is hired to discover the identity of the mayor’s (Crowe) wife’s (Zeta-Jones) lover, only to have the lover turn up dead. This turns into a bigger, much more personal conspiracy that the detective finds himself embroiled in. The raw acting power here is palpable.

New Regency has come on to produce, Fox will distribute. Brian Tucker (The Chris Rock Show) has written the script to be produced by Wahlberg, Randall Emmett, Steven Levinson, and George Furla. Shooting begins in November.
