The Bishop Charlotte Reporting….

Two-time Oscar winner Dianne Weist (Rabbit Hole) is set and Oscar-winner Chris Cooper (American Beauty) is in talks to star in HBO’s new drama Corrections, based on Jonathan Franzen’s novel of the same name. The book is about an elderly Midwestern couple and their three adult children (yet to be cast), going through their lives from the mid-20th century to the present at Christmas. Noah Baumbach (writer, The Fantastic Mr. Fox) and Franzen penned the script together.

Scott Rudin (producer, No Country for Old Men) has been working on the project for ten years, waiting for the green light. He will be executive producing along with Baumbach and Franzen. This is a lot of star power for one cable series – I don’t think we’ll be disappointed.
