Hi Bryan Here….

So this is the film Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) dropped Wolverine for.  So over the last month or so, Fox and Paramount have been bidding to acquire a big fantasy adaptation of ‘Noah’s Ark’.  And Darren Aronofsky will be the director of it.  This is expected to be a $100 million dollar budget film.  Aronoksy originally wrote the script for this Ark project, but is being re-tooled by ‘Gladiator’ writer John Logan.  I’m sure in the coming days, we will see who gets the film, but I’m sure Paramount will be victorious.  At least we know it will be better than the Steve Carrell vehicle about ‘Noah’s Ark’.  I’m actually looing forward to seeing this big budget fantasy tale come to life through the eyes that brought us ‘Requiem for a Dream’.

Your thoughts?

  1. what ever happened to aronofsky’s robocop? i was really looking forward to a director that could do that right…

  2. So Aronofsky wanted to make it, but the assholes at MGM wanted to make it a 3D spectacle with more action and style more than substance. And if you know Aronofsky, he is a real artist and didn’t want to go the Michael Bay route. So, it has been put indefinitely on hold I think. Even though it has a 2013 release date and I have heard some no-name director by the name of Jose Padilha was slated to direct, but nothing is for certain or set in stone as of now.
