Hi Bryan Here….

The Weinsteins have purchased the world rights to Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film which is currently untitled at the moment but was once called “The Master” according to DEADLINE.  This will be the first film PTA has directed since “There Will Be Blood”.  The untitled film will begin shooting on June 13th and has already cast two major stars.  Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix are signed on and a female actress is currently being scouted as well.

Per Deadline:

“Hoffman stars as a man who returns after witnessing the horrors of WWII and tries to rediscover who he is in post-war America. He creates a belief system, something that catches on with other lost souls.”

I am very excited to see Joaquin Phoenix back on the big screen again since his mockumentary of “I’m Still Here” which I really liked.  I am hearing rumors that Amy Adams and Madison Beaty (Curious Case of Benjamin Button) are being looked at for the female lead.  I’m sure we will hear soon on that matter.  PTA will have around a $35 million dollar budget for this film.  I smell Oscars for this movie.

Your thoughts??
