Hi Bryan Here…

AMC has been getting a lot of attention lately with the first season of Walking Dead doing so well.  In addition to Walking Dead, AMC has Breaking Bad and Mad Men which are two award winning shows that are currently in between seasons.  It is only fitting that they are shopping around for some more original programming.  This time around it will be about Extra Terrestrial life.

Since the sci-fi horror genre is working so well for AMC (Walking Dead) they are considering greenlighting writer/producer John Shiban’s pilot called “The Voyage”.

John Shiban’s credits include: Torchwood, X-Files, Supernatural, Breaking Bad, and Star Trek: Enterprise).  This new show sounds a lot like the Jodi Foster film, “Contact”.

EW said:  “The show is billed as a realistic take on First Contact with an ambitious female scientist who works with a team at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as the lead character.”

This is one show of several that AMC is considering to bring to pilot.
