I just love when Disney takes a break from all the 3-D and CGI work and does an honest vintage 2-D hand drawn full length animated movie.  Now while the recent Princess and the Frog was a bit slow, it still took me back to the days of Snow White, Lion King, and Dumbo.

This new Pooh film looks amazing and beautiful.  I miss this world and seeing it on the big screen.  I think the last Pooh film I saw in theatres was the Piglet centric movie.  That was way long ago.

Disney’s mini press release:

Veteran Disney animator/storyman/director Burny Mattinson (a key animator on the 1974 featurette “Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too!”) serves as senior story artist, with a dynamic young directing duo—Stephen J. Anderson and Don Hall—at the helm.

I hope you enjoy the trailer and I can’t wait to see this come 2011.
