Jeff Lemire is one of my all-time favorite writers/artists and has absolutely blown me away month after month with his current Sweet Tooth series over at Vertigo as well as his past graphic novels, “Essex County Trilogy” and “The Nobody.”  Recently, Lemire has signed an exclusive contract with DC and has written a fantastic The Atom one-shot, as well as an Atom back-up story at the end of Adventure Comics the last several months.  This November, Lemire will be writing a new Superboy ongoing series and I can’t be more excited to get my hands on the first issue.  Lemire grew up on a farm in rural Canada and I think his life experiences will bring a new authentic light to Superboy growing up in Smallville.  I never grew up on a farm, but I spent most of my childhood growing up in the Midwest, so I too feel a certain nostalgia for these Smallville tales.  Check out Lemire’s article on Superboy here at DCU’s “The Source.”  Posted below are some great teaser pics to get you excited.  The first one being an amazing cover by Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire) and the second pic being interior art from Pier Gallo.  Enjoy!
