Two very special Bob Dylan releases came out today, “The Bootleg Series Vol. 9: The Witmark Demos 1962-1964” and “The Original Mono Recordings” box set. Here is a witty and convincing reason why you should want mono…

On a related note, it’s rare I buy CDs anymore, since I’m such a sucker for vinyl records, so I’ll have to wait until December before the “Original Mono Recordings” box is released on wax. But rest assured, I’ll let you know how it holds up. However, look for my review of the “Witmark Demos” album, as well as the Amazon pre-order exclusive live album, “Brandeis University” by week’s end. (I also have to wait to receive my copy from Amazon, since I desperately wanted the exclusive bonus album. Boo…)

  1. I wonder if and when all the Bootleg series are released if they will release a BIG BASTARD box set with new stuff. Meaning I will have to buy all this shot again.
