Hi, Bryan Here….

By the end of Alejandro Brugués’ foreign film Juan of the Dead, you’ll be chanting the film’s title over and over.  For the past ten years or so, the zombie genre has become a household brand and form of entertainment.  Each director of a new zombie film tries to find novel ways to portray the flesh-eating undead.  There are the comedic horror zombies of Shaun of the Dead and the scary-as-hell, running zombies in the recent Dawn of the Dead.  I’ve even seen African zombies,  stripper zombies, and nazi zombies.  With Juan of the Dead, we get a black- humor zombie film with a caricatured backdrop of modern-day political Cuba.

Hi, Bryan Here…

AMC has started the engine on another project with Robert Kirkman (the creator of Walking Dead).  This time the project is titled ‘Thief of Thieves’ which is based on the comic series of the same name by Robert Kirkman.  “Much likeThe Walking Dead brought horror to television in a unique and groundbreaking way, I feel Thief of Thieves can do the same thing for heist stories, showing the humanity of all the characters, including the criminals,” said Kirkman.

Hi, Bryan Here….

McFarlane Toys has designed a limited edition blu-ray set for the second season of ‘Walking Dead’ and it looks really BADASS.  It resembles that zombie that attacked Andrea when she stuck a screwdriver through its eyesocket.  McFarlane is also amking action figures to be released later this year based on the comic series and tv show.

Hi, Bryan Here….

One of my favorite characters from the ‘Walking Dead’ books is that of Michonne.  Michonne is a female zombie killer to put it lightly.  She wields a kitana blade and is extremely deadly.  She is a complete badass.  Well now AMC has cast its Michonne, and it is none other than Danai Gurira.  You might have seen her in HBO’s ‘Treme’.

Hi, Bryan Here…

Not Sure whether to laugh or cry at this, but I’ll say I’m always up for a zombie film.  A new one anyhow.  Writer Etan Cohen (Men in Black 3 and Tropic Thunder) will be directing a zombie film called ‘Boy Scouts Vs. Zombies’ which I can already tell what it will be about.  This will mark Etan Cohen’s directorial debut and will make the film for Paramount.

‘Walking Dead’ Has Cast Its ‘Governor’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 25th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

One of my favorite villains in fiction history is that of ‘The Governor’ from Walking Dead’.  Kirkman made him a complex man who is as sadistic as he is crazy.  And I have been waiting to see this character come on the small screen on the AMC series.  So this tells me, the group is going to finally leave the farm soon, we will meet the badass girl Michonne, and somebody who is a main character will die.
