Sony has yet to officially announce the new ‘God of War’ game, and E3 is a few weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped certain people from getting all too excited about telling us about the new adventure.  It looks like ‘God of War: Ascension’ will release Decemeber 31st of this year and is shaping up really nicely.  The trailer is bloody as hell.  ”Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far.”  Enjoy.  Cover art not final.

TellTale Games has released some really cool screen shots and some details on the upcoming Zombie game based on Robert Kirkman’s and Tony Moore’s zombie comic book.  Over on the TellTale website, there is a new online series called ‘Playing Dead’ where you can find out about the upcoming ‘Walking Dead’ video game which as of now is not know of which or how many consoles it will be available on.

Hi Bryan Here….

That’s right!  The company that brought you Final Fantasy has just announced a new game called ‘Sleeping Dogs’ which is part of the True Crime series, and is a hardcore cop drama that has the open world scenario.  Kinda like the Grand Theft Auto series does.  The game will be set in Hong Kong, and vows to have ”intense shoot-outs, adrenaline-fuelled street races and intense, brutal martial arts combat”.  I don’t know, but this sounds like Square Enix’s answer to the Grand Theft Auto series.  And by the sounds of it, it promises to have a pretty good combat section.

Hi Bryan Here….

The new handheld portable video game system, ‘The Playstation Vita’  (Vita is latin for life) will be released February 22nd of this year with one of its launch titles ‘Army Corps of Hell’.  The Vita was announced at E3 last year and has already been released in Japan.  The system sold over 325,000 units in the first couple of days in Japan and is highly anticipated here in the states.

The Bishop Charlotte Reporting….

Oh good. More opportunity to be as violent as the mood strikes you. Anyone with an iPad will soon be able to rape, pillage, and murder as often as they like.

Grand Theft Auto, one of the most successful franchises in the video game world, is coming to the iPad. RockStar Games is also adapting other franchises, like Max Payne and Red Dead Redemption, for the tablet world, but GTA is the first attempt. Games like Angry Birds have apparently been used to keep us happy until “they” could figure out how to give us actual video games for our tablets.

Hi Bryan Here….

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Odd Lot Entertainment’s Gigi Pritzker have come together and purchased the rights to the hit classic arcade game to bring  it to the silver screen.  They are currently looking for a writer to pen a script which might be more difficult than the norm, because as we all know, the Space Invaders game has no backstory or rhyme of reason.  It’s just a game of shooting Invaders from Space.

We have done quite a bit of coverage on this project over the last few months.  At one point David O. Russell was slated to be the director of the adapted video game, but dropped out.  Since Russell dropped out, Sony has been hot and heavy in pursuit of a new director.  Needless to say they have high hopes and intentions for this film.  Well, Sony finally has decided on a director, and he is Neil Burger.

Best Buy announced that if you pre order the upcoming ‘Batman Arkham City’ game, you will get a free download of the Robin character to play as.  They have a picture of what he will look like and I must say it is the coolest Robin I have ever seen.  No word yet on if the download will be available later as well.
