by Gumbercules9000 on May 14th, 2013Hi, Bryan Here….
Univision Networks has announced that it will spawn a new network called the El Rey Network, which will be led by Robert Rodriguez and John Fogelman. El Rey will start towards the end of the year through Comcast, while Univision will handle the sales and distribution aspects. Rodriguez, who directed the ‘Spy Kids‘ films, ‘Sin City‘ and ‘Desperado‘ has just announced that one of their first shows that will air on the new El Rey network will be a TV series adaptation of one of his first films ‘From Dusk Till Dawn‘, which was written and worked on by his good friend Quentin Tarantino.
Guillermo Del Toro’s Epic Horror Book Trilogy Is Coming To Television on FX!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 20th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here….
This is awesome news. I am currently reading this trilogy right now. I’m almost done with book two, and I have wanted a film or television adaptation of this book since I heard about it. I think we got a small glimpse of it with ‘Blade 2′ as the vampire mutants are very similar to the vampire plague in this book, ‘The Strain’. Carlton Cuse will head up the television show, which Cuse was a big part of ‘LOST’ and ‘The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.’ The series will be over at FX, which has only committed to a pilot, but I expect it to be brought to series fairly soon. Del Toro will write, direct and executive produce the pilot.

Bryan Reviews HBO’s ‘True Blood’ Season 4 Bluray!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 20th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here….
Here we are with HBO’s vampire series ‘True Blood’ season 4. We can all sink our fangs into this one and come out blissful. So let’s take a count, shall we? Vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches, demons, ghosts, were-panthers, and shape shifters have all made an appearance in ‘True Blood’ so far. That’s eight different creatures, some of who were introduced in season 4. Can’t wait to see what new and insane creatures and monsters are in store for us in season 5. This bluray release is stellar, much like its previous seasons with their top of the line audio and video presentations. If you are a fangbanger or just love blood, then you know you’re going to pick this up. ’True Blood’ season 4 is an excellent edition to the collection.

Bryan’s Review of ‘Dark Shadows’!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on May 9th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here…
The Dukes of Hazzard, The Addams Family, and the A-Team are all television shows that have become feature films over the past several years. The latest television show to be remade on the big screen is the 60′s television series, Dark Shadows. With its dark humor, strange characters, and gothic set pieces, how could off-beat director Tim Burton resist? Unfortunately, Dark Shadows proves yet again that even though you have an expansive budget, amazing set pieces, and good actors, you don’t necessarily get a quality film. Dark Shadows fails to humanize any of the characters besides Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp), and although it started off as a fun quirky film, it never improved or advanced after the first ten minutes.
