We hear that Bane’s origin scene will be added to the film as well as more screen time for Ra’s Al Ghul. Basically, we will get to see how Bane became who he was, how he learned to fight, and when he got his mask.

Bryan’s DVD Review of ‘The Devil Makes Three’!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 17th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here….
‘The Devil Makes Three’ came out 50 years ago, and still holds up today. This film which also stars Gene Kelly is part caper, part military, and part thriller. Just like ‘Black Hand’, this is a lesser known film of Gene’s, but it’s still a great one. And, I believe all of it was shot on location in Germany in the early 50′s. I think if you give ’The Devil Makes Three’ a chance, it will be a staple in your collection.
Bryan’s DVD Review of ‘Black Hand’!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 17th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here…..
Classic Gene Kelly films are always a must. Did you know Gene was in some some thrillers and mafia type films? It’s true. You should check out ‘Black Hand’. This is billed as Gene’s first dramatic role, and he is great in it. And with the big release of ‘Singing in the Rain’ recently, a few of Gene’s lesser known works are trickling out. Although it is a made-to-order Warner Archive DVD with no extras, I still recommend this release. You won’t regret it.

Bryan’s DVD Review of ‘The Amazing Chan and The Chan Clan!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 11th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here….
It’s such a delight to have The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan out on DVD. This series, which only lasted 16 episodes, originally aired in in 1972 and follows Mr. Chan or Charlie Chan, his ten children, and their dog Chu as they travel across the globe and solve mysteries. Charlie Chan sounds familiar to you doesn’t it? Like that name is in a song? That’s right, because it’s used in the Beastie Boys song ‘Brass Monkey’. Just a little side note. This release is one of those famous WB Archive releases. It looks very good.
Bryan’s ‘Flareup’ DVD Review!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 24th, 2012Hi, Bryan Here….
Racquel Welch is a goddess. In ‘Flareup’, you can see why Welch was a leading lady in so many films. She was a sex symbol and a surprisingly very funny and gifted comedy actress. It’s very easy to watch Welch on screen and become hypnotized by her beauty, that you completely forget the title of the film you are watching. Then you snap out of it and think, “WOW, this movie and Welch were amazing.” This film does exactly that. Sadly, ‘Flareup’ was one of those long lost forgotten films, that most of you never heard of. And thank the geniuses over at the Warner Archive collection for finally releasing this on DVD.

David Reviews ‘The Bed Sitting Room’ DVD!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on May 17th, 2012David, Here….
Firstly, I just want to point out that I enjoy British comedy. It just has such a different feel than most of what we get on this side of the pond. So, when I got my hands on this, I was understandably pretty excited despite not knowing anything about the film. After reading the back of the case and watching the trailer (included on the title screen of the DVD) I was even more excited, it just sounded so absurd! And… it was.
David’s DVD Review of ‘Halls of Anger’!!!
by Gumbercules9000 on May 12th, 2012Dave, Here….
I had never even heard of ‘Halls of Anger’ until I popped it into my blu-ray player so I decided to watch the trailer first (the trailer is available on the main menu of the disc, see Extras below). From the trailer, you get a look at what this movie is going to be about, but it was actually a lot more interesting than I though it was going to be.
