Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres are re-teaming with director Andrew Stanton for the sequel  to ‘Finding Nemo‘, which is currently titled ‘Finding Dory‘. It has been ten years since ‘Finding Nemo‘ and we have learned that this new sequel will hit theaters November 25th, 2015, and will take place one year after the original film.

Hi, Bryan Here….

original

Since Disney now has all the rights to George Lucas‘ work under Lucas pictures, which includes the epic ‘Star Wars‘ franchise, they are fast tracking tons of ‘Star Wars‘ projects for future releases.  We all know that J.J. Abrams will be directing Episode VII and actually has Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher returning to reprise their roles for the sequels.  Even better news, Disney is finally listening to the fans, something Lucas never did, and are finally releasing the original trilogy on blu-ray in their original and unaltered versions as they were seen over 30 years ago.

Film Review: ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 6th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

A more fitting title for this would have been ‘Oz the Modest and Ineffective’. I have no doubt that this prequel will make tons of money the next two weekends at the box office, although it doesn’t deserve it. Even though you have an all-star cast, an amazing director, and top notch talent around the board, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have quality film in the can. On the contrary, it seems like every bit of life, joy, and entertainment was taken away early on, never to return. This prequel to the iconic and incredible 1939 film might be the top miscast film ever put on screen, and that’s only the beginning.

Blu-Ray Review: ‘Wreck It Ralph’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 5th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

Wreck-It Ralph‘ is one hell of a fun and entertaining movie. Not only will the little kids enjoy this, but adults will eat this up too.  Disney has done a a great job with their 3D animated comedy to start the holiday season.  The amazing voice cast, the video game references, the characters and storyline can all compete with the likes of any Pixar film.  Well, I guess you can get a phenomenal film when you have John Lasseter executive produce and Rich Moore direct.  Moore has directed tons of episodes of ‘The Simpsons’ and just about every episode of ‘Futurama’, so you know this will be a funny and intelligent film done right.

Blu-Ray Review: ‘Disney’s Peter Pan’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Feb 6th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

It was so great to see this newly remastered ‘Peter Pan’ from Disney. The image is pristine and is the best this animated film has ever looked.  Plus, Disney decided to give it a 7.1 lossless DTS-HD audio mix, which just sounds amazing.  I can’t believe it has been since 1953 since we first watched this animated instant classic capture the hearts of many.  It’s truly remarkable to have this on blu-ray.

‘Iron Man 3′ Will Get the IMAX 3D Treatment!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 22nd, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

bgn2

Disney and Marvel just announced that the 3rd ‘Iron Man‘ film will be released in IMAX 3D, meaning the final version of the film will be remastered for the impressive format.  This also means higher ticket prices for all of us.  So far, the last two ‘Iron Man’ films have grossed over $1.2 billion in the box office, and with this new film having higher ticket prices, I wouldn’t be surprised if this new movie were to surpass the $2 billion mark for all three flicks.

Blu-Ray Review: ‘Frankenweenie 3D’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jan 11th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here…..

I was much impressed with Tim Burton’s remake of his own short-fil of the same title, ‘Frankenweenie’, about a boy who brings back to life his dead dog in the vein of Frankenstein.  Burton really has made much of any original film in the last ten years, besides ‘Big Fish’, and in my opinion, his remakes aren’t good, but with this one, it seemed like a return from the director I grew up with and learned to love, despite my loathing of his remake films.  ’Frankenweenie’ was very entertaining and a lot of fun.

Take a Look at Disney’s ‘The Lone Ranger’ Trailer!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Dec 11th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Here is the 2nd trailer for ‘The Lone Ranger‘ starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.  The first trailer we watched came out a few months ago and was about a minute shorter than this one.  I hope this turns out good and not like the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ films.  Gore Verbinski has teamed up with Depp again to make this epic picture, and at one time was going to be one of the most expensive films ever made, and the studio axed the project all together.
