Hi, Bryan Here….

dr_no_3d_bluray

Okay, I’m making a rule. Studios, you can no longer take old vintage films and give them a 3D transfer. We don’t want it, and we certainly don’t want to pay overpriced ticket prices to see it again. I doubt anyone will listen to me, but if we all say something, maybe they will stop this madness. Why do I say this? Well, it seems that James Bond, particularly the old Bond films will be re-released in theaters and blu-ray in 3D. Not happy about this.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Good news, everyone.  Disney and Lucas Film have decided to scrap the future releases of the original ‘Star Wars‘ films in 3D.  Thank the gods for this one.  As we previously reported a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Lucas was re-releasing the original ‘Star Wars‘ film in 3D in theaters, starting with ‘Episode I: The Phantom Menace‘.

Hi, Bryan Here….

jurassic-park-3d-official-trailer-0

We reported on this back last March, and we were very excited about it then.  Now we actually have a release date.  The famous dinosaur film from 1993 will stomp back into theaters starting April 5th of this year and will run for only one week. The print will be a newly remastered version of the film and will be in 3D and IMAX 3D.

‘Man of Steel’ Will be 3D!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 7th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

The upcoming Superman film, ‘Man of Steel’ has jest been given the go ahead to be released in 3D.  Smart movie, since 3D ticket prices are significantly higher than normal movie ticket prices.  And with these big epic superhero films, they all want to milk every last penny .  Since Avengers (was in 3D) made over $1 billion and Dark Knight Rises (not in 3D) did not so easily, I think all studios want the extra cash.  Like I said, it’s smart, but not necessarily a great move.  Out of the 100 or so films I have seen in 3D, only two or three of them really made a difference being in 3D.  I doubt this one will as well.  However, if you are a fan of the format, then this should excite you.

The New ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Poster Needs Work!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 12th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

So here is yet another poster for the upcoming ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ reboot.  Yes, that’s right, another reboot of the franchise.  This time it is just called ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’.  That makes this the 3rd reboot of the film and either the 7th or 8th film total about the crazy family and Leatherface in Texas.  So, while Leatherface looks really fucking cool here, he is missing one key ingredient.  His fucking chainsaw!  Come on people, that’s like making a ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ poster with Freddy on the front, but he does not have his signature finger knife glove.  I think the previous poster, which can be seen HERE, is better.  I can only hope for the best.

Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim’ Will Be in 3D!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 14th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Guillermo Del Toro’s epic film ‘Pacific Rim’ is receiving the up-convert to 3D. In past interviews with Guillermo about this film being 3D, he has always said it won’t be.  He did not want it to be 3D.  However, the scope of this film is supposed to be HUGE, and with 3D ticket prices higher than standard ticket prices, this film could make more money.  That’s probably what the studio execs are thinking.

Hi, Bryan Here….

It’s been over 40 years since the original ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ by Tobe Hooper.  Well, in January, we are returning to Texas with an all new film called ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’.  Lionsgate has unveiled a very cool poster of the new film, which seems to feature all the Letherface masks from the films.  I’m a sucker for these films. John Dugan, Marilyn Burns, Bill Mosely, and Gunnar Hansen will all be in the new film.  How cool is that?  Greg Nicotero will be doing the makeup FX, making this top notch.

‘Titanic’ Hits Blu-ray in September!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 31st, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here…

James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ has been officially announced for 3D/2D Bluray, and will be released this September.  I imagine this is going to look stunning, but sadly, it’s just not a good movie.  There will be over 2.5 hours of new footage and behind the scenes extras never before released on this combo pack as well as the all new 3D conversion.  I think I’ll pass.
