20th Century Fox has just released a new trailer for ‘Taken 2′, and they are wanting you to search for clues on twitter to unlock an exclusive new scene from the upcoming film.  ”Liam Neeson is back in Taken 2, in theaters October 5. Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent who stopped at nothing to save his abducted daughter in TAKEN. When he is targeted by a vengeance-seeking crime-lord, Bryan must employ his “particular set of skills” to protect his family against an army out to kill them.”

Hi Bryan Here….

As of recently, Disney has been pumping out all their catalogue direct to home video releases on blu-ray.  This 2006 film really isn’t a sequel or prequel of sorts, but rather a story from the first film’s time frame.  I just say, since 1994 when Disney started all of these direct to home video releases, ‘Bambi II’ is one of the better ones.  Now that’s not saying much since most of their direct to video films are not that fun to watch with the exception of ‘Lion King 1 1/2′, it also isn’t the worst one.  There is enough fun and adventure in ‘Bambi II’ that it entertained me and I would consider watching again at some point in the far future.

Hi Bryan Here…..

I love when I get to review vintage Disney animated films from my childhood.  It always takes me back to that time when I set in front of the old tube tv with  my VHS and watched away.  Disney has opened their vault to release the classic ‘Fox and the Hound’ film which is packed with the direct to video sequel ‘Fox and the Hound 2′.  The combo pack includes both the blu-rays of both films and the DVD versions.  It was such a treat to see this film again and to see the sequel.  Another great addition to the Disney line of Blu-rays.

Today’s geek deal is ‘World War II: In HD’.  This set normally goes for $40.00, but from now until Sunday, it is 65% off and is going for less than $14.00.  The only people to see the war like this were the ones who lived it. Until now.  Seventy years in the making. Three thousand hours of color footage no one knew existed. The first documentary to show World War II from the perspective of both sides in full, immersive HD color, the world premiere HISTORY series WWII in HD uses the diaries of soldiers who fought in the war’s biggest battles to create a personal, introspective and detailed look at life on and off the front lines. Though it was illegal for U.S. soldiers to carry diaries, many hid them away in their packs and recorded their experiences in detail.

Hi Bryan Here….

It was reported yesterday that Director and showrunner Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption) left the hit AMC series ‘Walking Dead’ midway through shooting the second season.  Supposedly, Frank was having a hard time with he rigorous schedule of a television shooting schedule.  Feature film shooting schedules have more time usually.  But, it looks like Glen Mazzara has taken over.

Hi Bryan Here….

So J.J. is back from vacation and is done with all things ‘Super 8′ for the time being, that he has put his focus on ‘Star Trek 2′.  He is currently co-writing with Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof on the sequel to Star Trek.  He is hoping for a production start in January.  And Chris Pine is definitely reprising his role as Captain Kirk.  So far, a script and story has not been approved, but the studio is ready when the script and Abrams is.  I’m sure everyone will be returning.  I wonder if we will get a Shatner cameo this time around.

Hi Bryan Here….

Marvel and Paramount must have tons of faith in Thor, because it has already been given a sequel and release date.  The date is set for July 26th, 2013, and so far Chris Hemsworth will return to play the Mighty Thor.  No word on if any of the other cast will return.  I’m sure they will.  But director Kenneth Branagh will not be back.  Sources say he declined and it went down mutually and amicably.
