WWE News: WWE Announces New Plans and Pricing for Network!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 30th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…887184_451058938298646_1697072798_o

The CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon announced to investors and the WWE Universe this morning some new plans and pricing for their 24/7 network. When the network debuted, I purchased it on day one. As a long time WWE fan, it was such a wonderful thing to have a channel devoted to everything WWE. I could watch any pay per view from WWF, WWE, WCW, and ECW since the 70s. Not only that, I could watch their original programming, any home video that had been released, and the current pay per views live. All for the price of $9.99 a month.

WWE: An Evening Spent Inside ‘Hell in a Cell’ 2014!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 27th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

wwe

The superstars were set. The lights and fireworks were bright and loud. And a giant sixteen-ton cage of steel was sharp, fierce, and ready for the carnage that was to take place inside. WWE’sHell in a Cell‘ 2014 (the sixth event of this caliber, but 30 matches total) was a force to be reckoned with. Blood was shed, title belts were on the line, chairs were slammed, tables were broken, and special appearances were made to a sold out crowd in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center. A famous Beatle put it simply, “The Long and Winding Road“, which is a great lyric that could be used to describe the past several months of WWE.

Mike P., Here…

There is a saying* that sometimes it’s hell trying to get to heaven. For WWE fans, we could make the argument that it’s been hell trying to get to Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Wrestling fans are in near universal agreement that this fall has been pretty bad, even after acknowledging that the period from Summerslam to the Royal Rumble is the WWE slow season. But it all changes this Sunday.

Dallas Fan Days 2014 Is Upon Us!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 15th, 2014

Hey everyone, Black Mariah here…

I am ramping up for this weekend’s inevitable epic event, Dallas Comic Con’s Fan Days. Since attending my first convention nearly 9 years ago (great story, I ran into Corey Feldman. Literally.) I have had the opportunity to attend conventions from both coasts, and truly, no one puts on a great convention multiple times a year like they do it in Dallas. I mean nobody.

Devin Pike of Bacon Samurai Productions has been running around with the Dallas Comic Con folks for the last seven years, now. The lack of any “after-hours” entertainment has been the one criticism he’s heard over and over, especially with the show’s explosive growth following the move to the Irving Convention Center in 2010.

We had the distinct honor to talk with the amazing director Nicolas Winding Refn and his wife Live Corfixen in Austin, Tx at Fantastic Fest 2014. Refn is one of the advocates for the horror and crime genre and in addition to his great films, he can be seen on several bonus features of other Blu-rays talking about films. Refn directed ‘Valhalla Rising‘, ‘Bronson‘, and the recent films that starred Ryan Gosling which were ‘Drive‘ and ‘Only God Forgives‘. His new film, which was directed by his wife Liv is called ‘My Life‘ and chronicled the production of ‘Only God Forgives‘. It’s a great documentary. Here we discuss what went into that production, some of his previous projects and others that became unrealized, and of course some of their favorite scenes in film. Enjoy.

Higgy Productions is bringing a Quentin Tarantino tribute to the stage in the form of an AWESOME burlesque show that will have the beautiful ladies of Texas perform their routines in the style of Tarantino films. This badass show is called ‘Pulp Friction‘ and I’m sure you will see people dressed up as every character Tarantino thought up along with some excellent music.

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 26th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

kevin-smith-ears

We had the distinct honor to talk with the legendary director Kevin Smith in Austin, Tx at Fantastic Fest 2014. Smith is one of the pioneers of the indie film genre with cult hits such as ‘Clerks‘, ‘Mallrats‘, ‘Chasing Amy‘, ‘Dogma‘, ‘Jersey Girl‘, and ‘Red State‘. His new film, ‘Tusk‘ is quite the film. I’ve never seen anything like it. We discuss his ‘Red State‘ premiere in Kansas City, ‘Tusk‘, and his favorite scene in film, which might surprise some of you. It was a pleasure to talk with him and go see ‘TUSK‘. Enjoy!

Movie Quotes

xXx (2002)
Yelena:
Do you know what a wire transfer is?
Xander Cage:
Is she for real. Sweetheart is there anything else you need to do, let us big boys have a conversation.
Yelena:
Conversation. A word with four syllables. Do you want some ice before your brain overheats.
Xander Cage:
Ice. Yeah, you could chisel some off your heart, if you could find it.
