Microsoft unleashed a bit of info earlier today at their XBOX conference. Much like Sony did with their Playstation announcement a couple of months ago. Both companies decided to hold their own conference before the large E3 (Electronics Convention) conference which is coming up in a few weeks. Much like the PS4 event, some info was given, some was not. but rest assured, there are definitely some cool aspects to the new XBOX which is being called the XBOX ONE.

The amazing staff at Mondo has just announced that at some point tomorrow, they will release the remaining copies of ‘Army of Darkness‘ by Randy Ortiz from their screening a month ago in Kansas City. Along with that amazing print, they will release an all-new beautiful work of art by Jason Edmiston for ‘Evil Dead 2‘.  Lastly, Mondo will be releasing their 3rd leather bound book titled MONDONOMICON, you know to go along with the theme of all that is Groovy!

Break out your business cards and Huey Lewis albums, because everyone’s favorite CEO and serial killer is back. This time on stage in a musical. This coming December at the Almeida Theatre in London, Patrick Bateman will wreak havoc once again onstage in ‘American Psycho‘ the musical. Based on one of the greatest novels of all time by Bret Easton Ellis, this adaptation of ‘American Psycho‘ was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, composed by Duncan Sheik, and directed by Rupert Goold, who are all A-List talent in their fields.

Boomstick is partnering up this weekend with the amazing LOOK Cinemas in Addison, TX for some amazing prizes and free movie passes for the highly anticipated ‘Iron Man 3‘ film. This weekend also happens to be the annual FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, which select comic book stores across the nation giveaway FREE comic books. The most exciting event in American television is coming up this Sunday, and I’m a little concerned that some of you are going to make the wrong choice. Sure, Season 6 of “Mad Men” premieres, but that’s not the right call. The correct choice is to pony up and order Wrestlemania 29 on pay-per-view. Unfortunately, I’ve hit a lot of dead ends trying to spark Wrestlemania conversations. So I’ve compiled this helpful list, breaking down the featured matches at the Showcase of the Immortals by the television show you should forego watching in order to truly soak in the Show of Shows.

The second season of ‘Veep‘ premieres on April 14th and we have partnered with HBO to give away season one on blu-ray to fans, which will be released this coming Tuesday. The blu-ray, pictured above, includes all episodes from Season 1, plus tons of extras, which you can read about HERE. This will give fans and future fans an opportunity to catch up, re-watch, and prep for the upcoming season.

Alright, so I realize I’m a few days behind on talking about the Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds show from March 14th, but hell, I’m still reeling from how awesome the experience was. Needed a few extra days to process it all.

As anticipated, Australia’s dark and lovely darlings, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, hit up SMU’s McFarlin Auditorium in support of their 15th album release, Push The Sky Away, with guns, fists and instruments blazing, like it was a real gunfight at the OK Coral. In a fun marketing campaign for the upcoming thriller ‘Olympus Has Fallen‘, the studio is looking for “skilled professionals” to escort and check out the scene at the red carpet to make sure everything is ‘safe’ for the characters and actors.  They are billing it as they are looking for a task force of special agents to attend the world premiere of the film.  All you have to do is full out a bit of information, and hope that you are picked to attend.  You could possible meet Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, or Morgan Freeman.

Clever Girl Cabaret is a brand new recurring burlesque showcase, dedicated to the Sci-fi, Comic book, cult and pop culture inspiration. Based in Dallas, Texas, Clever Girl Cabaret is the collaboration of Dallas burlesque sensations Angi B Lovely and Black Mariah.  Clever Girl Cabaret will debut in Dallas on March 16th, 2013. The show will be at the exquisite Quixotic World Theater, 2824 Main Street, Dallas, TX. Record Store Day is coming up April 21st and looks to be insane.  We scored an early product list for Record Store Day detailing every release on April 21st including how rare each release is and prices.  There will be tons of limited releases, new releases,and classic records sold throughout the entire day.  A few releases include: Phish, Notorious BIG, Bob Dylan, Captain Beefheart, the soundtracks for ‘Poltergeist’ and ‘Dazed and Confused’, ‘Aerosmith’, David Bowie, The White Stripes, Frank Zappa, and Roky Erickson. It’s going to be amazing.
