Sep/2018

We have a very fun 62nd episode of our fun podcast under the MULTI-MEDIA MEN banner called ‘Media-Ocrity‘, where the show is just – okay. Here on the show, we focus strictly on horror/sci-fi, comic books, and video games – basically all the fun stuff that tickles your fancy. In our 62nd episode, titled ‘Lord of the Amigos‘, we Re-Cast ‘The Three Amigos‘ again, but this time with actresses over 60 years old, which was more difficult than originally planned. We also discuss more info on the Lord of the Rings TV series, review Star Wars Battlefront II, and the whole Marvel and DC universe. It was so much fun. This episode is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you. I am joined pop-culture wizard Jonathan Atterbury and comic book artist Jeremy Megert.

Re-Cast: ‘The Three Amigos’!!

by Gumbercules9000 on May 12th, 2014

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

three-amigos-01

Here is our 34th episode of ‘The Multi-Media Men‘ and with one of our infamous Re-Cast segments.  We had a lot of fun with this one. We went ahead and recast ‘The Three Amigos‘, which starred the funniest three people in the world – Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Chevy Chase. It’s damn near impossible to remake and even recast this film, because it is indeed perfect, but in this day and age with so many reboots and remakes, it just might happen. So here are some of our suggestions on who should play which role? Do you agree with us? We hope to see this at least on the Broadway stage sometime soon as a musical. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

Hi Bryan Here!!!!

“One for each other and all for one.  The three brave amigos are we.”  I was so excited that this finally came out on bluray.  I loved this John Landis film growing up.  I still quote this movie to this day.  That trio of great comedic actors of Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short has never been rivaled to this day in my opinion.  This movie was an instant classic.  Tons of songs, shootouts, and tons of great comedy pack this film with enough laughs to last a lifetime.  You know you are doing the Amigo salute right now.  Admit it.

I can’t believe April is almost here again. It just seemed like two weeks ago we were knee deep in 2014’s Dallas Film Festival, which had some excellent films showcased. But that time of the year is just about to begin and the good folks over at the Dallas Film Festival have announced the first 10 films that will show at the festival. Also, it looks like the fest will be honoring the excellent filmmaker John Landis as well, which is all sorts of cool.

Hi Bryan Here….

My favorite stand up comedian of all time is forever Steve Martin.  His bits still make me laugh till this day as if I were hearing them  for the first time all over again.  I laugh so hard I hurt each time I listen to his recordings.  Not to mention his film career, but The Jerk, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Three Amigos are amongst the funniest films ever made.  So while Steve has hosted the Oscars numerous times and hosted SNL numerous times, Mr. Martin gives his long time friend Eddie Murphy some helpful advice on hosting the Oscars.  Enjoy.

John Landis Returns To Direct Burke & Hare

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 5th, 2010

I have always been a fan of John Landis. He has quite an impressive resume. He has directed such films as: “Animal House”, “Coming To America”, “An American Werewolf in London”, “Michael Jackson’s Thriller”, “Three Amigos”, and “Trading Places” to just name a few.

He is returning to direct a film called “Burke & Hare” which is based on the real life exploits of Irish murderers William Burke and William Hare who killed about 17 people in Edinburgh in the span of 1 year in the 1800’s.

The film’s main stars will be played by Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) and Andy Serkis (known for playing King Kong and Gollum) as both Williams. They also have one hell of a supporting cast which is: Tim Curry, Isla Fisher, Jessica Hynes, and Tom Wilkinson.
