We have an incredible 22nd episode of our fun podcast under the MULTI-MEDIA MEN banner called ‘Media-Ocrity‘, where the show is just – okay. Here on the show, we focus strictly on horror/sci-fi, comic books, and video games – basically all the fun stuff that tickles your fancy. In our twenty-second episode, titled ‘The Thanksgiving Episode‘, we discuss movies we are thankful for, which aren’t necessarily our favorite films, the ‘Overwatch‘ update, Leon Russell, Leonard Cohen, films with big meals and feasts, and of course, the third season of ‘Young Justice‘. Also, we come back with a project remake for Kevin Hart and The Rock to star in. This episode is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you. I am joined pop-culture wizard Jonathan Atterbury and comic book artist Jeremy Megert.

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

star-wars-teaser

I’m certainly glad J.J. Abrams and Disney are releasing the first trailer for the upcoming new ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ film in theaters, rather than online. I mean, it’s ‘Star Wars‘. It deserves to be on the big screen. What do we know so far? We know that Disney has chosen 30 theaters across the nation that will show the 88-second trailer before each movie playing this Thanksgiving weekend.

So…Record Store Day 2011 has come and gone, which means I’m certain many of you audiophiles have been over-indulging in your recent purchases, perhaps even still scouring eBay to find those limited edition records and singles you missed out on during release day. I’m right there with you, folks. In fact, a week or so later and I’m still enjoying my new music, particularly the stuff I had to additionally buy on eBay.

It was a little disappointing to have to turn to the interwebs two years in a row to get my hands on the limited edition Rolling Stones RSD release, but as is often the case, the time and money is worth it. If you are lucky, sometimes you can find an eBay listing for any of the RSD releases at a reasonable price. I was able to acquire this year’s Rolling Stones single without having to make a deal with a local loan shark, or sell a kidney on the black market.

Favorite Movie Scene of the Day #16!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 3rd, 2017

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

My favorite time of year is Thanksgiving. I love that holiday for a multitude of reasons. It’s the start of giving back to friends, family, and your neighbors. The air is cooler, the leaves are a rainbow of colors, and you get to wear sweaters and long pants. It’s the little things in life, right? Also, Thanksgiving is a time for eating. It’s not just eating a simple meal, no. It’s about having friends, family, and perhaps even new guests into your home and eating a buffet of delicious food that never seems to end. If it was healthy and I could manage it, I would eat Thanksgiving meals twice a week.

We’ve waited long enough for news of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life‘ and we’re being rewarded for our patience. We now know when we can expect the new episodes of one of our favorite series and it’s something to make Black Friday a little less chaotic. Why fight through crowds for a discount when you can stay in your house, in your comfiest PJ’s, surround yourself with Thanksgiving leftovers and catch up with the Gilmore’s on Netflix? I literally just described my very plan for November 25.

Film Review: ‘Krisha’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Mar 25th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

13FILMFAMILY-master675

This is perhaps one of the most fascinating and yet unnerving films that takes place during Thanksgiving. It is as original as it is haunting. Trey Edward Shults is a name you will come to know and remember after seeing this first feature film of his titled, ‘Krisha‘, which hooks you in from the opening moments until the final frame of the film. It’s no wonder that this Texas-shot filmed won awards at the iconic SXSW film festival.

Film Review: ‘The Good Dinosaur’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 24th, 2015

Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

maxresdefault

This year marks the first time that Pixar released to feature films in the same year. Usually, Pixar releases one film every year or two, but in 2015, we got both ‘Inside Out‘ and this new Thanksgiving release ‘The Good Dinosaur‘. There was good reason for this second release as well, as this might have been the first Pixar movie to ever have a troubled history of production. Back in 2009, Bob Peterson came up with the story and was set to direct ‘The Good Dinosaur‘ a couple of years later.

Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, ‘Jessica Jones‘ has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Hey guys, Jana here,

The_Good_Dinosaur_MxPosters

Coming Thanksgiving of this year, Pixar and Disney comes a fantastic family feature, ‘The Good Dinosaur‘. The film answers the question “What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?” We enter a world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. The pair travel through a harsh and mysterious landscape where both learn the power of confronting their fears and discovering what they’re truly capable of.

Hey guys, Jana here,

22843

Prehistoric dinosaurs have been extinct and that’s the way most of us feel they should stay. In 1993’s ‘Jurassic Park‘ we saw cloning pioneer John Hammond not only pursuing the knowledge to create many long-dead species, but to turn it into an amusement park. We all know how that first run ended. Twenty-Two years later, ‘Jurassic World‘ is open for business.
