Scooby Doo and Batman are coming to Blu-ray Together!

by Gumbercules9000 on Nov 7th, 2017

I’m gonna go ahead and say it. There won’t be a better film than this all year. On January 9th, 2018, Warner Bros. is releasing ‘Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold‘ on Digital Streaming. How can Warner Bros. team up this duo? Well, the villains of the Batman universe have partnered up with the villains of the Scooby Doo universe to terrorize the city. Batman then decides to join the other detective agency of Mystery Inc with Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma to fight crime. There are so many scenarios I want to see played out here. I want to see Batman slap Fred. I want to see Velma and Daphne fight over Batman. I want to see Shaggy try to unmask Batman. I want to see Scooby wear a Bat-Dog costume. I want the Joker and Ghost Clown to torture civilians. I don’t think this is asking for too much.

The Multi-Media Men or shall I say Women this time, are back with the 45th episode that covers all things in the entertainment industry. We had a great adventure this time around and had tons to discuss. Joining me is Adam Conway from the Angelika Film Center, Gwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction TVSusan Kamyab from This Chix Flix, and Hillary Thomas: The Epic FanGirl . It was a lot of fun to say the least. We discuss what movie we want to see the porn version of, a quick game of ‘FUCK-MARRY-KILL’  with Tim Curry roles, Joe Dirt 2, Iggy Pop, Jim Henson, a Scooby-Doo Re-Cast, and two rounds of our infamous HORROR MOVIE BRACKET. For our Horror Movie Bracket, we had professor Paul Nimon pair and seed it this time, to which blood was drawn between our podcasters on who should move to the next round. It got crazy. Let us know if you agree or missed anything. And please let us know what you think by going to our FACEBOOK page and TWITTER page, which you should visit to catch up on all the latest information. And don’t forget to visit iTunes and Stitcher to subscribe to our podcast. Enjoy the show.

Hi, Bryan Here….

I literally laughed out loud when I got this in.  I enjoy the WWE and have always had a soft spot for Scooby Doo.  I never once thought they would come together as one.  I was wrong about that.  WWE Studios and Warner Bros. are teaming up for an animated feature that will center around a mystery at WrestleMania.  See, you can’t get through that sentence without smiling.

Hi, Bryan Here….

The good folks at Warner Bros. have given us all new Scooby Doo episodes under the ‘Mystery Incoporated’ label.  The original first season had twenty six episodes.  This is the second part of the first season, so we get the latter fourteen episodes which is called the ‘Crystal Cove Curse’.  So these are not original cartoon episodes, but rather new ones, and I actually had a good time with them.  I think if you are a fan of the original series, then I suggest you take a look at these.

Dax Shepard is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to join screenwriter Matt Lieberman in working on the latest Scooby-Doo animated feature. Shepard’s role grew from there and he’s now co-directing with Emmy-nominated Tony Cervone, who has more than a few Scooby-Doo flicks under his belt.

Hey guys, Jana here,

scooby_doo

If you’re a child of the 70’s you remember one particular theme song with accurate clarity, ‘Scooby Doo‘, just saying that was probably enough to introduce the earworm that won’t be leaving you anytime soon, you’re welcome. Every creation has it’s own “circle of life” if you will. What’s old then, gets re-packaged and becomes new again. Bell Bottoms were hideous in the 90’s but no one will look at you twice for wearing them today, at least no one looks at me like I’ve just stepped out of a DeLorean when I wear them. Such is the case with Scoob and the gang.

Hey guys, Jana here,

zoolander-2

Zoolander 2‘, or 2Lander as I will refer to it has taken its time coming to fruition, but even though it will be 15 years after the original, it will have style. It will also have an enormous butt-load of famous faces, just like the first time around.

Paul N., Here…

Hello ladies! Look at your man, now back to me – whoops, sorry about that. As you know, it’s Valentine’s Day once again. And as this overly-commercialized excuse for a holiday rears its ugly head, we take a reflective look back at our lives and at the choices we’ve made concerning our relationships. Some of you will realize that maybe the gap-toothed ex-con biker named “Bubba” might not have been the best choice for a mate (“but he’s a real sweetheart once you get to know him!”). Unfortunately, now you’re “in like Flynn” with his whole clique, and before you know it, you’re drinking homemade moonshine with the rest of his recently released buddies in the middle of backwoods nowhere (if you hear banjos – run). That isn’t to say that everyone makes bad decisions. Some women seem to have a gift for finding the right people to surround themselves with – or have a real knack for how to handle the bad apples that come along – and that can make all the difference between a smooth sailing adventure and a total train wreck experience.

Bugs Bunny Takes Over the Dallas Symphony Orchestra!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 7th, 2012

Claire, Here….

Last night, a new instrument accompanied the regular menagerie of Dallas Symphony Orchestral musicians as they performed the musical accompaniment to Looney Tunes. It was the intermittent, but well punctuated chorus of children’s laughter coming from the audience that made this performance timeless. The audience’s participation and audible reaction to the performance allowed us to connect intimately with the performers, and together, we created something greater than the sum of us combined. It was a worthy homage to the iconic works of Chuck Jones.

The Top 26 Film Vehicles!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 27th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

Have you ever wanted to own a specific car from a film or television series?  I have compiled a list of my favorite vehicles from films and television series that I want to own someday.  Now, I am excluding spaceships, because that is a whole different list.  This particular list of vehicles all stay on the ground.  It was fun coming up with this list, and I imagine some of you out there actually own these cars or are working on restoring one.  Or just maybe it will give you an idea to make one of these in real life.  Enjoy.

Hi, Bryan Here….

It’s such a delight to have The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan out on DVD.  This series, which only lasted 16 episodes, originally aired in in 1972 and follows Mr. Chan or Charlie Chan, his ten children, and their dog Chu as they travel across the globe and solve mysteries.  Charlie Chan sounds familiar to you doesn’t it?  Like that name is in a song?  That’s right, because it’s used in the Beastie Boys song ‘Brass Monkey’.  Just a little side note.  This release is one of those famous WB Archive releases.  It looks very good.

Hi Bryan Here….

I am so delighted to be seeing this on DVD for the first time.  I love watching old cartoons from the 60’s.  And ‘Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles’ was so much fun.  There were only two seasons with less than 20 episodes in all, but the rock music/action hero cartoon packed each episode with tons of great fun.  It reminds me of ‘Fraggle Rock’ meets ‘Partridge Family’ in the vein of Hanna-Barbera.  This cartoon series also made for some of the most bizarre animated sequences I might have ever seen.  I witnessed a giraffe running upright on two legs with a gun and jumps into an art easel to disappear.  No, I was not on that acid you gave me last year.  Just loads of Dr. Pepper.

Hi everyone, Bryan here…

THE FILM

LEGO sure has the market on DC films for kids. This film as the past direct-to-video films have incorporated almost all of the DC heroes to satisfy all fans for all ages. Packed with some great voice-talent that is recognizable to fans, this 78-minute ‘Justice League‘ story is quite entertaining, despite the chaotic pace and silliness. The full title of this film is ‘LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League – Gotham City Breakout‘ and has just about every DC superhero and villain showing up here, along with some new characters.

Hey guys, Jana here,

he-man_and_the_masters_of_177_1280

Christopher Yost is a big name in the superhero world, he masterminded the script for ‘Thor:The Dark World‘ and the upcoming ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘, besides that, he shaped the world for some of the biggest names in comic-book animation like ‘X-Men: Evolution‘, ‘Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes‘, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ and ‘The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Warriors‘, so it makes perfect sense that Sony Pictures and Escape Artists have brought in the master of the effervescent to take a whack at the rewrite of a script for the reboot of ‘Masters of the Universe‘.

Hey guys, Jana here,

250px-Richie_Rich_comic_No_1

The 80’s were all about excess. If you liked neon, you didn’t wear just a little bit of neon in your wardrobe, you saturated yourself with it, if you wore makeup, it was caked on thicker than Dee Snider’s and if you watched a cartoon about a rich kid, he had to be the most opulent image of wealth a kid could fathom which basically came down to swimming in a pool of money with a dog named Dollar.
