Hi everyone, Bryan Here…

maggie-schwarzenegger-movie-images

I was hoping there would be a day that we got to see Arnold Schwarzenegger take on zombies. Fortunately, that day has finally come with a movie called ‘Maggie‘ that actually looks quite good. Directed by Henry Hobson, the story follows Arnold Schwarzenegger setting out to protect his infected daughter (Abigail Breslin) when a zombie epidemic is threatening the world. It looks to be a refreshingly small-scale, compelling drama with the zombie aspect simply a backdrop, and we’ll find out soon if that’s the case. Also starring Joely Richardson, Laura Cayouette, and Dana Gourrier. You can mark Abigail Breslin down for two zombie movies the now, the first being ‘Zombieland‘.  I can’t wait to see this. The film will debut on May 8th of this year. Enjoy the trailer.

Hi, Bryan Here….

escapeplan2_medium

It’s finally happened. Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are finally in a film together where the two of them are the main stars. ‘Escape Plan‘ is set to release in October of this year and actually screened at Comic Con a month ago. It received mixed reviews, but everyone seemed to enjoy it overall, especially Schwarzenegger’s performance.

Hi, Bryan Here….

movies_main_the_toxic_avenger_poster

I never thought I’d write this sentence, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently in talks to star in the reboot of Troma’sToxic Avenger’ film. This project will be introduced to potential buys at Cannes this year of all places. I didn’t think Cannes would take any Troma film. But it looks like this re-imaging of ‘Toxic Avenger‘ will be a big budget project. Steve Pink is taking the reins of the film. Pink directed ‘Hot Tub Time Machine‘ and will direct the sequel. This is odd, but amazing news.

terminator123201288

As Arnold Schwarzenegger is touring the world for his press junkets for his latest film ‘The Last Stand‘, it was bound for someone to ask about a future ‘Terminator‘ film.  Well, in London, the good folks from Bleeding Cool have reported that Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he will indeed star in the next ‘Terminator‘ film, for which you counting at home will be number five.

Johnny-Knoxville-in-The-Last-Stand-2013-Movie-Image

Talking with Johnny Knoxville for the very brief moment that I did was very satisfying.  He’s a lot of fun and did a great job with Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘The Last Stand‘.  As a matter of fact, Knoxville was one of the best parts of that movie.  I had the opportunity to talk with the stuntman and ‘Jackass’ star for a couple of minutes and unlike most people I did not ask him about the upcoming ‘Jackass 4‘.  I wanted to know what it was like working with one of his heroes, which is director John Waters.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Favorite Movies!!!

by Bryan Kluger on Jan 14th, 2013

Hi, Bryan Here….

arnoldschwarzenegger

Like most of us, I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger films, which I loved them all.  I would see every new Schwarzenegger film with my dad the day it came out.  It was like a tradition.  From the ‘Terminator‘ films to ‘Predator‘, ‘Twins‘, and all the way up to ‘The 6th Day‘. Enjoying for the most part, all of the films in their own unique way. Needless to say, Arnold has been in my life since I was little, if were on the television, the big screen, or in the form of action figures and comics, his characters have always been there.

Hi, Bryan Here…

‘The Last Stand’ stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jaimie Alexander, Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzman, Peter Stormare, Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro, and Genesis Rodriguez.  Pretty impressive cast, I know.  The film is directed by South Korea’s Jee-woon Kim, which is fucking awesome.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Why is this happening?  I don’t get it.  Universal Pictures has just inked a deal for ‘The Legend of Conan’, an action film that is set to star Arnold Schwarzenegger in a role he made famous a few decades ago.  Universal released the first film of the series back in 1982 and really boosted Schwarzenegger’s film career.

Hi, Bryan Here….

Hi Bryan Here…

Mikael Håfström is currently in talks to direct Sly Stallone in ‘The Tomb’ for Summit Entertainment.  Mikael is known for directing ‘1408’, ‘Derailed’, and ‘The Rite’.  Mostly horror thrillers.  The film is happnening but has been held up for a bit due to some production issues with Stallone being in Bulgaria on another shoot.  And Schwarzenegger has been approached to co-star in the film as well.

Hi Bryan Here….

Since his last day as Governor of California and the most recent scandal, Arnold has been lying low with all of his projects on hold for the time being while his divorce is being finalized.  Well Lionsgate just announced that Arnold has booked return to the silver screen with ‘Last Stand’ in which Arnold will play a sheriff.  Lionsgate execs said: “It’s more of a Fast And Furious at the border with high speed car chases, drug cartels and the like.”  Read the press release below.

Hi Bryan Here…

So far Arnold Schwarzenegger has agreed to do his “Governator” persona for the kids in the form of comics, a tv series, and a movie.  Add to that the most recently announced “Terminator 5 film.  And in the past, Arnold has talked about finding more appropriate roles for himself for an aging action star.  Well according to Vulture, this is happening sooner than later. The new film it looks like Arnold will be attached to is called “Cry Macho”.

Hi Bryan Here…

Arnold is confirmed to reprise his role as the Terminator in yet another go at the Terminator franchise in Justin Lin’s Terminator 5.  This is not very surprising as I’m sure if he weren’t running California, he would have been in the last film.

Hi Bryan Here…

Since Arnold is done with his politcal career in California, it is only fitting he would get back into the entertainment business.  For a couple of weeks now, rumors and requests have been making their rounds on the internet as to which role will he choose first.  Well as of last week, Arnold has chosen.  His new project will be “The Governator”.

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE – Film Review #2!

by Bryan Kluger on Nov 4th, 2019

Terminator: Dark Fate picks up 2 decades after the events of T2: Judgment Day and proceeds as though the multiple sequels never occurred. I also like to pretend none of the sequels ever happened so this was a low bar for entry into this movie. The opening credits recap what was supposed to happen in 1997 using clips from T2 which was a very efficient way to get everyone in the audience on the same page. It reinforces the starting point of this movie, in T2 Sarah Connor won and the apocalypse caused by SkyNet never happened. Of course, humans are way too stupid in this World and the Terminator World… so despite SkyNet never existing in this timeline, something called Legion was created which is just an updated SkyNet and humans are still hunted by machines in the future. Luckily we shook off that 1997 technology and the machines have some really unique nanotechnology abilities this time around!

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE – Film Review

by Bryan Kluger on Nov 1st, 2019

New and old terminators battle it out to save humankind once again in this heavy-handed homage to the original two films with Terminator: Dark Fate. There are a few elements to like in this big reunion in the Terminator universe, but silly winks and too many head-nods ultimately take you out of the moment, along with some fairly over-the-top action sequences that seem to belong inside a Fast and Furious movie. Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger is still solid gold in this character, perhaps the robot apocalypse was the best thing that could have happened.

‘Hobbs and Shaw’ – Film Review!

by Bryan Kluger on Jul 31st, 2019

“‘Hobbs and Shaw’ is a fun movie that deserves to be seen loud and with friends.”

I was watching the original Fast and Furious movie the other day and realized that film is now considered a drama with a car chase and a couple of gun blasts. I wouldn’t regard it is a big action movie anymore, which is odd to say. Over the past decade or more, these Fast and Furious movies have grown into mega-budget action blockbusters that tend to lean over how they can top the previous action sequence along with a couple of funny lines of dialogue. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy these movies on an over-the-top level where I can appreciate the insane spectacle on screen. It’s a fun break from the more serious stories I see. Now we have the first spinoff movie from that franchise called ‘Hobbs and Shaw‘, that stars the characters Luke Hobbs (Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) from the Fast and Furious franchise.

My Favorite Movies Released in 2018!

by Bryan Kluger on Dec 27th, 2018

The year of 2018 has come to a close and over the past 365 days, I’ve seen roughly 175 new films that were released.  I had a ton of fun watching each and every single one of them, even if I came out sour towards a film. There were a ton of great films this year that ranged from big action blockbusters, emotional indie dramas, scary-as-hell films that still haunt me, and some laugh out loud movies that always put me in the right mood. I’d chalk 2018 as a winner in the movie business, because there are some films that came out that I will truly cherish for a long time to come.

Film Review: ‘The Predator’!

by Bryan Kluger on Sep 11th, 2018

Another reboot to the franchise brings more blood, guts, and humor to one of our favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger 80’s film ‘Predator‘. Now, it’s simply titled ‘THE PREDATOR‘, which vaguely addresses the past two films with zero mention of any characters. Shane Black is at the helm of this distant sequel to the original film, which is interesting, to say the least. Shane was in the first film back in 1987 and played the part of Hawkins who told the funny jokes through the film. Shane went on to write the ‘Lethal Weapon‘ movies, ‘The Monster Squad‘ and more importantly ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang‘, ‘The Nice Guys‘, and ‘Iron Man 3‘, before taking this on with his fellow ‘Monster Squad‘ collaborator Fred Dekker.
