Rob Zombie Heads Back to ‘The Devil’s Rejects’!

by Gumbercules9000 on Oct 25th, 2017

Rob Zombie looks to be headed back to his roots by making yet another ‘Devil’s Rejects‘ movie. There are many people reporting about it and it seems has confirmed that his next film after his Groucho Marx movie ‘Raised Eyebrows‘, which I can’t confirm if he’s been filming that for the past few months or not. Zombie though will make another movie in that ‘Devil’s Rejects‘ universe, but it’s still unclear if it will be a sequel or a  prequel to that infamous Firefly family.

Hey guys, Jana here,

MV5BNTE0NTMzNjE0NV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzM4NTM3OTE@._V1_

Rob Zombie has just announced that his latest horror flick ‘31‘ will be hitting theaters for just one night. He has partnered with Fathom Events to take over screens in over 400 theaters on September 1st. Zombie crowd-funded the production for ‘31‘ and offered fans some of the most excellent things, he knows we want in return: autographed posters, a name in the credits, the chance to be an extra in ‘31‘ and some awesome props from his movies, like masks from ‘Halloween‘ and the giant crosses from ‘House of 1000 Corpses‘.

Rob Zombie’s ’31’ Finally Has an Official Trailer!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jun 14th, 2016

Hi everyone, Bryan Here….

Zombie31

I can easily say that Rob Zombie’s31‘ is one of my most anticipated movies of 2016. I know it shouldn’t be, but Rob Zombie is such a fun filmmaker in the horror genre, that I consistently look forward to his original films. I don’t count his ‘Halloween‘ remakes, because they weren’t really any good. However, ‘The Devil’s Rejects‘, ‘House of 1000 Corpses‘, and ‘Lords of Salem‘ all were highly entertaining and showed that Zombie progressed as a filmmaker. His upcoming film ‘31‘ just sounds insane, and I’ve been chomping at the bit to see it. We finally have a trailer and it looks so good.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Rob Zombie Instagram

Did you see this? Could Rob Zombie, kick-ass musician and director, possibly be hinting at another movie starring the Firefly clan? Before you make up your mind, let’s peruse the last few days in Zombie’s Instagram history and check out the clues, shall we?

Hey guys, Jana here,

31-Rob-Zombie

Rob Zombie has had all of us anxiously awaiting his newest feature film, ‘31‘. I’m down for seeing anything Zombie does, but after his trying twice to get an R rating and receiving NC-17 decisions, third time was the charm for him and he finally received his R rating. Personally, I wanna see the NC-17 version! Anyhow, in celebration of this rating, the rocker-filmmaker has given the fans a treat, in releasing the first poster!

Mila Kunis & Rob Zombie Join Forces For Starz Series!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Sep 22nd, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

PicMonkey Collage

Dolly Parton’s favorite emotion may be “laughter through tears”, but mine is laughter through horrific screaming. In that vein, Starz is developing a half-hour horror comedy series from about as unlikely a duo as horror and comedy, Mrs. Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and horror icon Rob Zombie.

Groucho Marx Biopic In The Works From…Rob Zombie?!?!

by Red Zeppelbon on Jun 18th, 2015

Hey guys, Jana here,

2013-01-29-RAISEDEYEBROWSNEW

One of the genre’s I adore in film is an excellent biographical depiction. It doesn’t matter who the subject is, I love the truthful way these films are usually made and like seeing the story unfold, event at a time. What struggles they’ve gone through to become who they are, it’s the intimate details that I genuinely crave. A successful biopic depends on the character and quality of its written source material as it’s vital to the core of a project. Such will be the case with the planned Groucho Marx flick.

Hey guys, Jana here,

Rob Zombie has been relatively quiet following the release of the less-than stellar ‘The Lords of Salem‘ in 2012. He’s released his first-ever concert video in 2014 and in February of this year the Zombie came out with a new album, sticking in line with the video, it’s a live record. This doesn’t mean that he’s kept away from the film-world, instead he’s got two projects, both of which are in the early stages at the moment.

Jana B. here,

Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie and Bret Easton Ellis are teaming up with Alcon Television to develop a project for Fox that takes us back to the morbid and attention grabbing incidents surrounding the Manson Family and the murder spree that ensued in August of 1969. Some of us may not have been alive during that time, but if you pay any attention at all to current events you have probably seen the different appeals and hearings for release some of the members have gone through since then. I know the history inside and out but it’s just because I’m a little different than normal people. I am fascinated by serial killers and have read everything on the subject I can get my hands on. At one point, I wanted to be a Psychiatrist that specialized in serial killer tracking…just like Alex Cross from the James Patterson novels. I didn’t end up doing that, but I still read or watch everything on the subject. Some nights I sleep with a baseball bat under the bed , each night I’m grateful for the shotgun that is less than 5 feet from me.

Hi, Bryan Here…

The-Lords-of-Salem

I cannot wait to see Rob Zombie return to original filmmaking with his ‘The Lords of Salem‘, which comes out April 26th.  Is it me, or are a few horror films coming out in April?  From Zombie’s Facebook page, he showcased some new movie stills from his upcoming horror film. This looks good and stars the usual cast from most of Zombie’s movies including his wife Sheri Moon Zombie, Ken Foree, and a few other surprises.

Rob Zombie To Direct “Lords of Salem”

by Gumbercules9000 on Sep 23rd, 2010

Rock God and Film Director Rob Zombie has announced his next film he will direct which will be “Lords of Salem”.  It is about what unfolds when an group of witches plague modern-day Salem.

Zombie says he will write the script and start shooting next year.

Also, Zombie was attracted to the setup by an offer of autonomy — he’s given “total control” over script, casting and final cut. That’s a far cry from working with the Weinsteins and Dimension.

The film will be a thriller, “set in contemporary Salem, where the inhabitants receive a demonic visit from a 300-year old coven of witches.”

Zombie says his best filmmaking experience to date has been with LionsGate on The Devil’s Rejects, and I’d mark the coincidence that Rejects is his best film. He says the battles on the two Halloween movies were draining. (”By the time I got [my way], I didn’t care anymore.”)

Speaking to Deadline, Zombie also namedrops The Shining as an example of a slow-burn film that might not get made by a studio now, which suggests that he might go for a longer, more deliberately paced film while making The Lords of Salem.

Zombie also went on to say, “I wanted to break away from anything related to preexisting material…The remake train is getting pretty tired now and when I made Halloween, everybody complained, either that it was too much like the original or too different. I like that people either love or hate what I do because it’s better than being in the middle, which means forgettable. But when you do an original premise, they take it on face value and after three years of not being able to win on Halloween, I just couldn’t go through that again.”

If only he had total control over House of 1000 Corpses.  I like Rob as a filmmaker, and I can’t wait to see his return to original movies.

Hey guys, Jana here,

2205210-01a

Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and Sony have snapped up one of the original zombie stories left on the market. We’ve seen zombies make one hell of a surge in popularity the last few years, from the occasional horror flick, to being staples in TV series, even romantic storylines and we’ve seen the zombies fight aliens, humans, animals and all things in between, but not robots, yet and that is about to change.

Hi Bryan Here…

At least Bay won’t be directing the film.  But this is as cool of news as you will ever get.  The comic book, “Zombies VS Robots” has been picked up by Michael Bay’s company, Platinum Dines and Sony Pictures to adapt into a feature film according to Deadline.  Buy the comics HERE.

Hi everyone, Bryan here….

The Walking Dead really brought zombies into the mainstream, mostly from its AMC series that is still going strong and is one of the most watched cable series ever. Back in 2003, Robert Kirkman began writing the comic books the TV series is based on. Cut to present day, there are currently 169 issues. At San Diego Comic-Con, Kirkman announced that he is finally ending the comic book series. He didn’t give a date yet, but it will be soon and has had the idea for a while now.

DVD Review: ‘iZombie Season One’!

by Janet White on Jan 18th, 2016

Hello Everyone, Janet W. here…

iZombie - DVD

THE SHOW

iZombie…I was so sure that this was going to be a teeny bopper (do they still say that) TV show, but I’m happy to say that my assumption was wrong. This show has intrigue, action, comedy, and a tinge of horror. Based on the comic book of the same name, Dr. Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver) was a promising resident prior to being transformed into a zombie. However, being a zombie assistant medical examiner has its perks and insights (a variety of crime stopping assets). After all, how many ways can you make a meal with brains? iZombie has very creative cuisine.

Is ‘Zombieland 2’ Dragging Into Theaters?!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Oct 1st, 2014

Hey guys, Jana here,

zombieland-Atlanta

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is if you were hoping for a ‘Zombieland‘ sequel, I can make you very happy today! Bad news – if you want a lot of detail about the continuation of life, love and happiness in an undead world, you’re not going to be as happy.

Hello, Jana here,

robert-downey-jr

Robert Downey Jr. can do anything. I mean the man looks better as he ages, he single-handedly anchors ‘The Avengers‘ with his snark, wit and narcissism, he’s even pursued a singing career releasing an album in 2004 called ‘The Futurist’. It’s safe to assume that anything he touches right now is going to be golden. This is probably what Warner Bros. is assuming since they are teaming up with RDJ and his wife, Susan Downey, working under their Team Downey banner to produce ‘Cloaked‘.

Hello, Jana here,

 z-nation

If you’ve read my articles before, you know I am vehemently against cookie-cutter TV and movies. If the idea has been done, I can tolerate a few re-imaginings on it, but I need variety. Too much of the same topic and I tune out. This has been the way with the latest craze of zombies. I’ve seen zombies on everything. TV, movies, gun targets, video games, music videos, cartoons, Rob Zombie, drinks, 5k’s…you name it. It’s safe to say, the zombie genre has been done to death, unfortunately, that death has been re-animated and come back a million different ways. Zombies are not only horror-genre material, anymore. There have been zombie romances, animated zombies and zombie comedies.

The CW Is Bringing Us ‘iZombie’!!!

by Red Zeppelbon on Feb 2nd, 2014

Jana B. here,

iZombie

I love network television in the fall. The big reason for that is the introduction of dozens of new pilots hopeful of being selected for series orders. One of the hottest networks is The CW. While still relatively young, The CW zeros in on the 18-34 age-demographic with proven success. Fresh story telling and unique scenarios are their calling cards. Hoping to join the ranks of such proven program favorites like ‘Supernatural‘, ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ and ‘Smallville‘ are several projects.
