Dec/2019

We have a very fun 74th episode of our fun podcast under the MULTI-MEDIA MEN banner called ‘Media-Ocrity‘, where the show is just – okay. Here on the show, we focus strictly on horror/sci-fi, comic books, and video games – basically all the fun stuff that tickles your fancy. In our 74th episode, titled ‘Neil Young sings with the Dude about Dexter‘, we discuss the 20th anniversary of ‘The Big Lebowski‘ and how it has held up, Neil Young acting in a new film, the upcoming season and feature film of ‘Impractical Jokers‘, what would have been a better series finale of ‘Dexter‘, and we all pitch what we think would make a cool theme park. It was so much fun. This episode is guaranteed to thrill you, chill you, and fulfill you. I am joined pop-culture wizard Jonathan Atterbury and comic book artist Jeremy Megert.

Hello Jana here,

NEIL_YOUNG-353x

Neil Young is throwing his hat into the ring with the likes of Apple iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify and Pandora. Young announced the newly formed Pono Music service. Pono is the Hawaiian word for ‘righteous’. Not only is Pono Music going to be a provider for select artists, but they are offering a custom-built $399 listening device. Sounds like fancy wording for the iPod. Their music offerings, when played through the Pono Player, will give an ultra high-quality digital listening experience.

Neil Young: Journeys Blu-Ray (REVIEW)

by NapkinArt on Jan 5th, 2013

51iqgP9I1sL._SL500_AA300_Howdy Classic Rock fans, Napkin Art Here…

I have just one question: Who the f*ck doesn’t love Neil Young?

The ‘Grandaddy of Grunge’ has been on quite a roll over the last few years, musically and artistically, releasing several critically acclaimed albums, an autobiography (finally), not to mention releasing the long, long-awaited “Neil Young Archives: Volume 1” to the masses, proving again and again that ‘rust never sleeps.’ After all, Young is pretty old for a rock and roll star. However, his love for making music and shredding guitars on stage never ceases to wane, as is evident in his latest concert documentary film, “Journeys,” from Shakey Pictures and Sony Pictures Classics. Bryan Reviews Neil Young’s ‘Journeys’!!!

by Gumbercules9000 on Jul 19th, 2012

Hi, Bryan Here….

I’m a big fan of Neil Young.  I have loved his music since I was able to listen to it.  From his solo work thru his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young; Mr. Young has proved time and time again that he is a master of sound and music.  Donathan Demme perfectly captures Young on his solo tour, specifically his performance at Toronto’s Massey Hall, which is his birth city.  If you are a fan of Neil Young, this will no doubt make a good edition to your Neil Young collection.

This_Is_The_End_36998

We had the distinct pleasure and honor of speaking with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg or their first directorial effort, ‘This is the End‘ in Dallas a few weeks ago. The two hilarious guys couldn’t have been nicer to talk with and they were super excited about their film. I highly suggest you read OUR REVIEW HERE, then go out and see ‘This is the End‘ immediately, or vice versa. You’ll laugh from start to finish.

Bryan Becomes A ‘Dead Man’!!! (A Blu-Ray Review)

by Gumbercules9000 on Aug 22nd, 2011

Hi Bryan Here…..

‘Dead Man’ might be my favorite Jim Jarmusch film.  Yes, better than ‘Coffee and Cigarettes’, ‘Broken Flowers’, and ‘Ghost Dog’.  The cast of ‘Dead Man’ is amazing with its lead being super star Johnny Depp.  Some think this is a western film.  I like to think of ‘Dead Man’ as the ultimate experimental western.  ‘Dead Man’ is simple and plain AWESOME.  This movie has everything going for it.  The acting, the story, the filming, the story, and the characters.  They all come together to erupt a truly creative and brutal film.  Highly recommended.
