Fantastic Fest Film Review: ‘Halloween’ 2018!
The original Halloween is barred none the best of the slasher genre. It is a simple story, a young boy kills his sister and is put in a mental institution, 16 years later he breaks out and goes on a rampage murdering people on Halloween. Michael Myers is terrifying in a way that Jason or Freddy isn’t. He feels more “realistic” in his behaviors in the first movie. Michael is just an unstoppable force of death who Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) runs in to. All of the sequels to Halloween try too hard to explain things or add significance. Sure, there are some fun entries that with the right amount of inebriation are quick fun. But ultimately they all abandon what was so great about the first, its simplicity. Halloween, 2018, erases all of the sequels in just 3-4 lines of dialogue and goes right back to the roots of what made the original such a groundbreaking horror film.

Woody Harrelson is ‘Wilson’!
Hi everyone, Bryan here…
Woody Harrelson is having a few big years and for good reason. The guy is just genuinely likable and a badass. His next big film is called ‘Wilson‘ and will premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. ‘Wilson‘ is directed by Craig Johnson (‘Skeleton Twins‘), written by Daniel Clowes (‘Art School Confidential‘, ‘Ghost World‘), and produced by Alexander Payne (‘Election‘, ‘Sideways‘, ‘About Schmidt‘, ‘The Descendants‘, ‘Nebraska‘). Need I say, “HOLY SHIT”, what a cast and crew already. If that weren’t enough, you can add Laura Dern, Judy Greer, and Cheryl Hines to the cast as well. Fox Searchlight now has a trailer and new poster for the film, which looks excellent.

Film Review: ‘The Good Dinosaur’!
Hi everyone, Bryan Here…
This year marks the first time that Pixar released to feature films in the same year. Usually, Pixar releases one film every year or two, but in 2015, we got both ‘Inside Out‘ and this new Thanksgiving release ‘The Good Dinosaur‘. There was good reason for this second release as well, as this might have been the first Pixar movie to ever have a troubled history of production. Back in 2009, Bob Peterson came up with the story and was set to direct ‘The Good Dinosaur‘ a couple of years later.

Take Your Monday Prehistoric With A Peek At ‘Jurassic World’!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
It’s been twenty-two years since John Hammond began the journey to create a fully functioning dinosaur theme park beginning with ‘Jurassic Park‘. The park has expanded to encompass all of Isla Nublar and it’s safe to say there have been more than a few hiccups along the way.
Hold on to your butts! Here is the ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer!

It’s here. The ‘Jurassic World‘ trailer looks excellent. Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. ‘Jurassic Park’ Has Teased Us with a Tease for the Teaser!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Prehistoric dinosaurs have been extinct and that’s the way most of us feel they should stay. In 1993’s ‘Jurassic Park‘ we saw cloning pioneer John Hammond not only pursuing the knowledge to create many long-dead species, but to turn it into an amusement park. We all know how that first run ended. Twenty-Two years later, ‘Jurassic World‘ is open for business.
Short Snap Film Review: ‘Men, Women, and Children’!
Sara O., Here…
There’s something about Men, Women and Children that was just a little too much. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it after I left the theatre—the only clear feeling at that time was an overwhelming sense of hopelessness in humanity. So you’re officially warned, this is not the Jason Reitman of the hilariously heartwarming Juno. This is the Jason Reitman who wants to scare the living daylights out of you by showing every worst-case scenario that comes out of people’s obsession with social media and the Internet.
‘Ant-Man’ Begins Production and Fills Out Cast!!!
Hey guys, Jana here,
Today marks the beginning of filming for Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’. It has been a winding road getting to this point though. There has been a change in director and the loss of 3 cast-members due to scheduling issues because of delays. Some of us probably thought it would be a miracle of Marvel proportions if it were to ever make it to the big screen. Some of the reason for doubt stems from the fact that original director Edgar Wright had been working on bringing the 2D superhero to life since 2006 with very limited success.

Here is the Trailer for ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’!!
Hi, Bryan Here….
We knew we were getting the sequel, and now we have a trailer, and it makes me so excited to see that somebody is doing these films right. The new film, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes‘ will release on July 11th, 2014 with Andy Serkis returning as the leader primate, Caesar. There is no James Franco in this one, but we get Gary Oldman as the leader of the humans along with Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, Keri Russell and Kodi-Smit McPhee. Matt Reeves is directing this sequel, which he directed ‘Cloverfield‘, so I expect great things here.
